Great looking stand. I am getting ready to order one but for the life of me, I can't tell the difference between the MS1118 and the MS1087 2nd tiers. Please let me know asap so I can get my order in. Thanks!

With MS1118, you can adjust the arms , forward or backward with the rear knobs, MS1078 is fixed. MS1087: The front lips on this one are plastic. MS1118: The front lips are metal and covered in rubber. The arm itself can also slide backwards on a rail system. If you're putting something heavy on it, I would go with the MS1087. If you are putting something under 25lbs on it, I would go with the MS1118 as it has more versatility. Or if you feel you have too much money, you can buy one of each :wink: We also sell just the arms separately (MS1097 and MS1118A) so you can always just add more arms later if needed. Yes, it will fit most other Z Stands! Just make sure the interior of your Z Stand is 1.25" x 1.25". Some stands use 1" tubing and our 2nd tier will not fit any stands that use round tubing. Reach out if you have more questions!

I like the instruction on video, but you have a black product being put together on a dark background, and very few close up shots. I am struggling to see as I put this thing together.

I ordered the current available version on Amazon with extra arms, and the added arms have clear manufacturing problems. They are not even with one another and actually the ones that came with the second tier were also not even. Pretty disappointing. It likely wouldn’t be noticeable if I was just putting a second keyboard/synth above the bottom one, but I was hoping to put multiple gear across the second tier and it’s just not doable. It’s a shame you sell the second arms separately if they aren’t going to be even with one another. (I used the height adapters and everything, the angle of the arms are all off by a few degrees each)

The arms don’t have knobs to be able to come back! So I don’t have any room to play the piano with my laptop on top!! This is so disappointing!!!

Reach out to us Luisa - ask for Mike. It sounds like you purchased the MS1087 2nd tier arms which do not have a knob to slide forward/backward. This video is for the MS1118 2nd tier arms which is a different model. Reach out though and we can hook you up :)
