Hey brother, love the videos. Just got my Nauticam housing for the BMPCC 6k! It's a great housing. I live in the Pacific Northwest and I'm hoping to film Orcas! --- I'm curious about a few things, if you don't mind me asking. --- What do you edit on and do you shoot raw/log footage? Also, I would love to hear about how you get work/clients (I noticed you've traveled a lot in the last few years. Was the travel covered by the clients? Was it difficult to find clients in these remote places?) --- Hope these are questions you can answer. Alright Matthias, I look forward to more videos! 👍

Thanks mate for your feedback. Appreciate it a lot. 😊🙏🏻 I normally shot in natural profile with contrast and saturation turned down all the way. This works quite nicely for me. I very rarely use log profiles. When it comes to editing, I've been using FCPX for years now and am very happy with it. Most of my clients I get through connections (I used to work in the diving industry as a instructor as well as for a travel operator and therefore know a lot of people from the industry) and word of mouth. It's not easy getting into it and it takes time, but you gotta be patient and deliver good work anytime you have the chance to do so. At the beginning I didn't charge my clients for the travel to their remote locations, nowadays I can afford to do so and they're willing to pay. But that's something you'll just have to try and find out what works best for you and the typ of clients you want to attract. Hope this helps?!

You should include using back button focus

Good input mate, thanks. What button do you have the back button focus assigned on?
@timothybaxter32685 жыл бұрын
Matthias Lebo use the lock focus button to focus, once it has focused I leave it...and it will not autofocus again without pressing that button
