Sofirn is working on the new LT1S Pro with Anduril2 Nichia 519A emitters and 660nm deep red leds over on the BLF site! Can't wait for this to come out! Great video!

I bought the lt1 after watching your review. Now I just bought this one because I watched this review. I’m scared to watch the mini review. I’ll have to buy that one too. Your reviews are the best. Thanks 🙏. I appreciate how clear and comprehensive they are.

Отличный обзор с разборкой, спасибо! Уже заказал на распродаже 11 11. Вы бы не могли поделиться файлом колпака для лампы или ссылкой на него. Каким пластиком печатали? Вы его обклеили изнутри фольгой?

Ohhhh so no candle mode. Sucks. Shutting off half the emitters is good though. Lower moonlight a bit.

Great review of a very cool product. I have the LT1 (in a very attractive, iridescent orange finish) and I love it. This looks like a more compact form factor, which is nice. Probably the biggest "loss" on the new light is the lack of a flickering candle mode, which I love for ambience while camping on the original light. Still, this looks like a very worthwhile addition to their line up.

I have this. I also have on my cart the Lt1 mini, however I'm still waiting for a review before checking out.

I find my LT1's camping are best hanging from abranch or small rope above my head. There are no hot spots a the cast of light is excellent. The BLF LT1 and LT1S is more base camp, tent, home. My BLF MINI is best for hiking and backpacking with a night stay in the woods. These lights are built like tanks.....all aluminum body and dont be scared to REALLY USE THEM. They arent plastic fragile lamps, common sense of course, but what a fantasticlight. IMO SOFRIN hastaken over my basecamp lights as #1.

@@LiquidRetro Oh okay cool!! I think I'll get one of these. I have 2 of the LT1 I got on Ali for $50.99 ea with batteries. With the LT1s and another one of the LT1 I'm getting for a gift it'll be $92.42 with $10 coupon. That's about $42 for the LT1s w/ battery and I can't pass that up. When I ordered the 1st 2 they came fast from Pennsylvania instead of China.

mine doesn`t run without battery more than 5 minutes. after 5 minutes it turns off. tried 4 different powerbanks and 3 different cables.

Really interesting lantern, which would be perfect with a candle mode, a tripod/magnetized bottom or other horizontal support and a more progressive and directional red to extend its runtime.
@jorkins52 жыл бұрын
Yeah, like the LT1 already has. That would be nice. Maybe the LT1s make 2 will have (with anduril)?

I think they are targeting different markets. The LT1s is smaller, cheaper and more simple

So many LEDs. Thanks for another great review. I have been looking at this light for a while now but the differences between this & the lt1 (as i have just seen) are just not great enough to warrant purchase as I have several lt1's. I do however like that you can turn off half the LEDs & also the red light may be useful. This would be great for someone that wants a quality lightweight camping lantern without the extra functions or cost of a blf lt1. NB : the Wuben F5 is a good runner up at $30.
@LiquidRetro2 жыл бұрын
I have the wuben as well and don't care for the user interface as much. Still a nice light. I use mine to help with lighting for the videos

I have just been reminded by a foreign friend to choose Sofirn LT1S better than Nitecore LR60, but it seems that the LR60 can use 2 21700 batteries compared to 1 21700 5000mah battery of Sofirn LT1S so which one is better? And please recommend the best battery charger for their 21700 battery.
@LiquidRetro2 жыл бұрын
I haven't used that Nitecore, but does it tint shift? Or high cri? I like the Vapcell S4 Plus or Xtar VC4SL for chargers right now. I have reviews on both

I did that in the above comment. Vapcell S4 Plus or Xtar VC4SL.

@@LiquidRetro If it were you, would you prefer the Nitecore LR60 or the Sofirn LT1S? Would you prefer Vapcell S4 Plus or Xtar VC4SL

I would go with the Sofirn unless I needed absolute runtime. The vapcell continues to be my go to charger but it's not usb-c powered if that's more important go with the Xtar.
@ExtremeSquared2 жыл бұрын
Anduril would be a terrible choice for a lantern unless you only camp alone. Camping trips are full of other campers asking "How do I turn the lantern up / down?" Even this one is on the high end of complex.
@LiquidRetro2 жыл бұрын
I mean the LT1 is probably the most successful lantern in decades and it has it. It's all about target market. I think the ui here is much simpler
@ExtremeSquared2 жыл бұрын
@@LiquidRetro right but is it gear junkies buying it or actual campers? I have never been camping in a context other than solo where anduril wouldn't have been the running joke of the campsite.
