Hi Dr Kidd! I made an appointment with you for late april to help me with my Straterra journey! 😊 Can you tell me something now though as it’s a few weeks away… Have you ever seen Straterra or similar medication triggering acne breakouts? Is it a possibility in any way? (I was t hi bring if it increased insulin levels or something?). I am trying to figure out if my breakout is a coincidence as it started 30 days ago at the same time as the straterra (no acnce prior). Also could you make a video on how straterra actually works in the brain? Like it helps me sleep better and gives me more energy and it seems to have cured my IBS-C! How is this possible? what’s it do? Have you heard of these poative effects before?

Hi SC, no link to acne that I usually see with Straterra. It works by increasing noradrenaline levels in the brain. There may be many links to sleep (such as improving ADHD symptoms or even depression symptoms leading to better sleep). IBS probably a bit more complex interaction mainly because pathogenesis of IBS is not well understood and it is quite a heterogenous condition.

Hi Dr Kidd, thanks for your great videos. I am currently on Saxenda (about to start week 2 dose) and will be transitioning to Ozempic (1mg pen). Do you have any advice on how I can best transition?

Do you recommend ongoing thyroid studies and LFTs whilst on this medication?

It will depend on the clinical situation, probably no one simple answer to this.

I had to stop watching. The hand motions were so annoying,
