Clonidine absolutely helped me stop the urge for cigarettes 🚬. At first it was given to me for my high blood pressure. I noticed that I didn’t feel the need to smoke. I soon found out that it helps in the cessation of smoking withdrawal symptoms. But my urge just left me LOL! It’s only 0.1 mg. But it’s MIGHTY.

LIfe changing drug! i tried all the stimulants but or they did not work or could not tolerate them well( anixety, emotional blunting and heart issues) I also have autism so maybe that could play a part in it, especially ritalin made me even more autistic

I'm male, 27, 185cm, 85kg and on 50-60mg of elvanse per day, and am also prescribed medicinal cannabis (! This might not be safer use, and is no recommendation for consumption !). caffeine works for me during the day (e.g. before uni, before working out) but I need significantly less of it to feel the effects. a small can of red bull subjectively feels potentiated by about 4 times(! This might not be safer use, and is no recommendation for consumption !). I did not notice any unpleasant effects, as long as I did not exceed this amount of caffeine and ate something during the day. Nutrition seems to be key. I usually drink like 3-5l of water a day, one is mixed with some table salt (and 8g of creatine for my workout) and I supplement 1000mg of magnesium citrate everyday. I try to eat my meals spread out into small portions spread out over the day(! This might not be safer use, and is no recommendation for consumption !). I eat whatever I like or is bearable, because on elvanse it's already hard enough to get enough stuff down, even with weed, so that I allow my impulsive adhd side to choose whats being eaten. what also helps me is splitting my elvanse dose into 2 kind of equal doses by opening the cap and then taking the second dose 2-3 hours after the first. this extends the effects and comedown time a little and makes the landing softer, while also smoothing the acute effects a little bit. I do this on long, busy days. Because I do not have access to IR d-amph, I tried using methylphenidate instead a couple times(! This might not be safer use, and is no recommendation for consumption !). I don't like this substance as my main medication, but dosed low in combination with lisdexamfetamine (for me this means 5mg IR or 10mg XR), the side effects are not pleasant, while still getting rid of the elvanse crash.

I'm going to beg my Dr for this as I currently have hypertension and being medicated for it but also on a very long waiting list for my ADHD diagnosis and treatment. This could be really helpful for returning to university in September. I hope they prescribe it here in the UK.

My tip is to incorporate foods with a low calorie density into your diet, i.e. foods with a large volume for calories they contain. My choices include a lot of oats, root vegetables, lentils and beans, and chia or flax seeds for their soluble fiber. And I am cautious about foods with a high calories density, in particular oils, breads, chocolate and sugar. I still have some of those but I'm very conscious of portion sizes when I do.
