I have never owned a Barbie doll. However, my daughter collects Barbie dolls. I'm 75 years old; and, I think it is time for me to buy myself a Barbie doll. I want the Downs syndrome Barbie (because I have worked with many Downs syndrome children through the years). "Downs syndrome children are Angels sent to earth to teach us to be patient." Believe me, it is worth the wait. That quilt pattern would be perfect to make a quick quilt for just about anyone. Thank you for this video.

My sister had Barbie and I had Midge. We each had a Casey, Skipper, and Scooter but with different colored hair. We had the Nelson brother dolls and not Ken. We used shoe boxes for cars. No house but used the carrying case. My mom crocheted outfits and my grandma would sew outfits. Wonderful memories come flooding in just thinking of the hours spent playing Barbie. Love your beautiful quilt- turned out great! And so did your other one!😉

I got my 1st Barbie when I was 6. But had to make my own Barbie doll clothes. Started on a treadel machine. I now quilt and have 6 granddaughter who are all about Barbie (3 oldest have seen Barbie movie 3 times) can't wait to make a Barbie quilt for them.

Do you know that marking the outside of that tool is a quarter inch. So you can mark the middle and the seam line at the same time.

April, the closest I've every come to owning a Barbie is The "Edna" doll from the Incredibles! But my kids had/have Barbies, they just don't play with them. Grandsons pulled heads off or cut their hair. All my grandchildren like Tonka Trucks & bulldozers & soccer ⚽️ 🎉 Your quilt came together nicely.

The red head was Midge..Barbies best friend back in the early years..I am the proud owner of Midge..bought her when I was 12 and that was 60 years ago so do the math I am old!!!LOL...found origional Ken 30 years ago at a yard sale...they cohabitate together now in a clear plastic container.
