Hi Everyone! Just wanted to give my sincere gratitude for everyone who stopped by this weekend, listened here, for your kind comments and those who bought the album on my Bandcamp. That support allows for this to happen. I appreciate you. Much love to all and Happy Mother’s Day to all the mommas today. Love, LBD ❤️

What an amazing piece of music. It felt so familiar yet so unlike anything else I'd heard. It took me a while then it finally hit me - Michael Stearns. This recording reminded me of early Michael Stearns, only with much better recording quality. I absolutely love this kind of dreamy, otherworldly, evocative music. Amazing. Heading over to buy the album shortly.

I recently vented about the gap in synth education and now feel I must apologize for directing it at you - an inspiring individual doing more than most to educate! So, yes, I do apologize for my misdirected frustration. I watched your interview with Matt who also had questions about that empty space between elementary and advanced learning. I’ve been on the path you suggested to him for about a year - watching KZbin, doing tutorials I can find, re-reading manuals, etc. I don’t know about others but I often feel ‘synth anxiety’ which is akin to math anxiety - that psychological trap of beginning with, “Oh boy, this is going to go right over my head and even if it groks, I will not remember it tomorrow.” I love the sound worlds you create and I love the alchemy and the suggestion of mysticism, and your performance gestures which keep you and us in the flow. Some scoff at that aspect of your performances - offense at the pretense of spell-casting. But I see it as your body connecting to the circuits. I think it was Pauline Oliveras who said, “Listen to the circuits.” (?) Your story-telling approach reminds me of Keith Jarret’s extended solo improvisations - the move from simplicity to complexity and back again - the way of so much music and story telling. His decision to stop - to re-enter earthly time - suggested that this story goes on. It began before he started playing, he wove us into it and back out again, like stepping back ashore. He would do the namaste hands and stand up. As with your journeys into parallel worlds, he danced across the grid and the groove, the underpinning, but lyricism was the breath and life of it. Your Jazz and R&B experience is powerfully evident in the way you find the pocket of each piece. So many kudos! That you can do this so beautifully with modular synthesis - in performance - is extraordinary. So, I’m definitely inspired to keep going - chasing Bella Donna! Rather than gripe about the lack of instruction, I think it’s time to reach out and find local Moogers. There’s no group here but maybe I can get one going. Thank you for all you do! Come to Minneapolis!

It’s not a question of age, but just of passion…I am 62 and acquired my first synth in 1982…it was a Sequential Circuits 6-Tracks. Since then I had many synths, some I kept , some I sold….but my passion never diminished ! Hope you enjoy your new instruments as much as I did and I am still doing!

This is why I got into synthesis about 40 years ago and still coming not even close to what you're doing here, Prima Donna of Moog. And with a setup like that, who cares being in lockdown. The world of the mind is always wide open and without rules and borders. Your storytelling is just amazing.

This concert is insane! I'm an Italian rock/metal keyboard player and I've recently discovered Lisa. An incredible talent, sound designer at the highest level and great composer. I feel a blend of sensations when I listen to this: warm electronic music, how it should be conceived (imho) as an expressive tool, perfectly combined with feelings coming from Nature, like sounds of "spirits of the woods" during a light raining... I'm a big David Lynch fan and while i'm listening to this music I can immagine this as a perfect soundtrack for Twin Peaks! Lisa is a great example of overcoming the (apparent) "oxymoron" between music made by playing electronic machines and the pure Nature; Electronics IS a part of Nature and this is beautiful. Thank you for sharing this Davide

The thing with Lisa is that she combines great synthesis craftsmanship, hauntingly beautiful compositions and deliciously nasty shredding. There is something here for fans all over the synth spectrum, from Jarre and Vangelis to Rudess and Wakeman - and Lisa can definitely hold her own in that company.

You are the most talented artist I've come across on youtube. This work took me to another world full of color beauty. I too am a keyboardist/drummer. I saw Karlheinz Stockhausen perform Tierkreis at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum in the mid 70s when I was 16 yrs. old. My aunt was a volunteer there and our family was visited that day. He played a modular synth that generated rumbling low pitch earth shaking sounds that preceded each of the twelve compositions. Each composition was played on unconventional, original acoustic, brass, reed and stringed instruments of his own design. The whole performance created an other earthly atmosphere. I am so lucky to live in an age that has someone so gifted like you Ms. Bella Donna you are an inspiration to me.

After listening to so many so similar sounding albums my excitement and obsession started to fade a little, but this all changed again when I discovered your recordings. Thats how music should be... feeling! It doesnt matter the style, feeling is the most important... feeling and creativity, when feeling is there means creativity in action also. In modern times feeling and creativity seem to be lost somehow. I am a musician also... and this performance made my day! Specialy the last part of it! I have no words... do we need words? We need no words but let the mind opened and let the music come inside! I feel music like this. Once David Gilmour from Pink Floyd said "Music is the air, we breathe with our ears"... something like that! Lisa thanks that musicians like you exist...still! Hugs from a portuguese musician!
