From what I remember, Austin himself, when asked about the nature of magic, said that it was based on genetics, so you'd probably be right about why he didn't, or perhaps _couldn't_ teach buddy fireball. As for Armstrong style, that's probably because martial arts wouldn't help her as much as just using a sword, considering she's likely gonna be no more than half of the size and/or weight of anyone she'd be up against

@@SSFplayer2 From what I understand, it's gone from a relatively simple graphical update to a complete overhaul of the graphics, gameplay (at least some aspect of it,) and story. On one hand, it's understandable that such an undertaking would take a lot of time, especially when they're doing it for free (if there's a Patreon I am not aware of it,) and what little they have shown off is absolutely wonderful, so clearly this hadn't been wasted effort. But on the other hand, it's been at least 4 years since the MU was originally announced, and the end to the wait is nowhere in sight. Could be released next month, or could release in 4 more years, almost no one but the devs themselves have any idea when it'll finally come out
