LISA: The Pointless | Ultimate Fix | The EPIC Undertalers FIGHT!

This is a showcase of a reworked events from the mod I am making.
The mod will be called The Ultimate Fix - it is a mod to the Ultimate Modpack for LISA: The Pointless.
It aims to rework, rewrite and rebalance the game to bring it up at least to the high standard that original Pointless presented.

Hey, T. Been watching your work the past few days and I gotta say: it's got plenty of promise so far. Glad to see you're taking the gameplay balance in a direction similar to the classic pointless with it's "setup" strategy philosophy instead of SOTWS where it turned into overpowered move spam every enemy because there's no actual reason to be strategic. I'm excited to see more from this mod, you've clearly got heart. I would say more but It's quite late where I am and there's still much more to see from the ultimate fix project, keep up the good work. (And if you do read this comment here's a little advice: I'd stop taking advice from that Warlord4Hikage guy, he's pretty funny to watch as he complains about small arbitrary problems and non-issues but he's not actually giving you any advice of substance, that and he's biased towards UMP's game balance so he's not even reliable for re balancing the game.)

It absolutely was! I removed second Trash Wastes location and instead of 54 fights against one enemy there are 6 fights, 3 of which are against various groups of trash lunatics, 1 is skippable joke encounter against the Nerds, 1 is this (against Undertales) and last one is a single person boss. Having playtested it yesterday I should have cut down the locations even more, as even 6 fights instead of 54 is a quite exhausting experience.

Finnaly I replayed infinity unfolds 5 times even with if its awful balancing and i even considered playing ultimate modpack But now?now i get it. Lisa the pointless doesnt have to be serious to be good. This mod clearly filled me with determination ...and joy

One question i always ask about most lisa fangames with more than around 5 party members is what's the balance between how many party members use sp and how many use tp in this UMF if you will. Just askin out of curiosity cuz i noticed that my boy cannabis is an sp user in this footage.

Nice, there's always just a certain ding in my head when I realize that cuz there was only like what 8 tp users in the painful compared to 20 sp users there. Glad to hear that there's going to be a balance in that, and good luck with finishing the UMF!

i never going to understand lisa-heads deep hate to undertale and pointless fans to gardenias. cool mod i hope you are able to balance and bug fix UMP, do you think fan game (fan patch, fan update?), is this going to relase before of MU?. mostly because of how many content has been made for pointless in the last 5 years.

I don't hate Undertale, I love it. I just had to reuse Gardenias enemies, and since they were drawn in such a way that looks too Undertale, I packaged them into a comedic fight. I really hope to release this before MU - first version consisting of Garbage Island and Deserts in a couple of days, and then start working on Downtown.

@@T1Slam dont worry man i understand the joke of them in this mod, is just how weird the fandom gets when something related to ut appears, like that one time the dude who make fractured bonds used megalovania in one of the battles and people got really man with him. man downtown is going to be a nigthmare dude i hope you have good luck, and please make back ups of your work so if anything happen. btw how are you going to tackle party members?. just thinking of things like william gear up attack make feel alredy tired of how many content UMP has. good luck pal i hope this project go far.

@@mechakirby9576 thanks! I think I can understand how people can get mad for putting megalovania into LISA mod/fangame - that's just because the song is not really fitting for LISA aesthetic. Sure, it's retro-styled, but it's so unique that I think it's the same as putting metallica in the game, it's just too distinctive. And don't worry - I am making sure to back up the work on Google Drive every day!

This is more about figuring out what to do with Gardenias' characters: UMP just unserted them into Alex's story, poorly balanced. They also look too distinct from regular artstyle, so I couldn't just reused them in other places. The balance-wise solution I liked is to make a single fight with all enemies, and style-wise I made them into half-joke encounter, poking fun out of how Gardenias' characters are drawn like they are from Undertale.
