Usually in UK we have a skirting board at the base for the wall. From the word 'Skirt'. The one at the top of the wall is a 'coving'. You can use sticky tape at edges t like the top of the wall to make sure you do a straight line.

TIC-TAC Time capsule from 1970's! 2:22 For fresh breath have a TicTac! 😂🤣❤ A shop vacuum really comes handy for major saw dust cleanup. You will save lots of money doing the labor yourself! You will be proud to look around everyday living there knowing you made it all personally yours. I love the smell of new paint! Good Job Lisa! 😁❤❤❤👍

4:22 - thats the only smart thought. Renovating someone else's apartment is dumb idea because you will pay for it twice, after owner will decide you have to pay more for such nice apartment...

That renovation is extensive. If there are any rooms with lime basked paint. Its a painters night mare. Inch by inch. My whole house on inside was this paint. The best way is paint it with the cheapest paint. And it strips off . That area room 24 hours of work. Just did one lounge room here. That I wall paper in 1980. 24 hours to strip it back well. 16 hours to paint with under coat sealer. And the ceiling was a concern. Because originally had lime paint. And that took 20 hours to get it off. I wish then I new about . Just paint over with a cheap paint. It adheres to the lime paint and brings it all off. Back to bare wall. It would have taken 5 hours. You will soon know , if you have this very old paint . You just cant leave it . 80 years paint , old they dont make it any more.

Hello, Lisa. The renovations look great. You did a lot more work than I expected. From my experience, even for older apartments, landlords usually do all of the renovations. Also, I thought of you when I saw one of those white Akita dogs that you like at the park today.

This building is on the municipal demolition list, which means the owners of these condos will be given new condos in one of the skyscrapers being constructed nearby. In a situation like that owners don't normally invest in redecoration.

Hi Lisa, your place looks so pretty now and I bet it was a lot of work and I’m proud of you and you are so pretty teasing. Your face were all dirty and I like that and I hope you did not find any mold that will leak through your paint on your wall and you do not want to live with mold because it’s a health hazard. I don’t want you get sick just like me my dad is legend to mold and it’s not healthy like I seen lotta of ice in other people apartments in Washington because their water were leaking in Putin will not fix it cause he’s putting all the money in for the war. I betcha when they get all the house melted they’re gonna have a lot of mold it’s not good to live in that stuff it’s gonna cost a lot to clean it you have to turn the wall down all your insulation with mold in the wood cause you built the houses with wood built mold big time. I hope you relax take your time everything that you want done and asked you were working on it and looking at it at the walls and ceiling, no I don’t want you to be healthy and live in the healthy home everybody your friend stay safe, maybe when the war over we could meet and talk because I want to see you happy not being lonely being a home by yourself a living by yourself, your friend from American loves you

Excellent work! It looks fantastic! That is a major difference from before. As someone who is also renovating for the first time in his adult life I can say it is a ton of hard work and kinda sucks, but the results are worth it in the end... I suppose.. I am still not even mid way through as I had to tear everything down to the studs in two rooms. Erg so much work... Hopefully mine looks as good as yours when I am finished! Хозяину этот ремонт может уже ничего не даст после окончания Василисиной долгосрочной аренды, так как дом идёт под снос и переселение жильцов в новостройку по программе реновации.😊 Правда, у них дата расселения пока не определена.

One of the absolute best things about soviet flats must be the thick concrete walls that provide excellent sound isolation:) Worst thing ever to live with walls leaking all the sounds to/from your neighbours ^-^

'Base board' you say?, never heard of such reference. Someone here on the comments called it 'Floor moulding' I guess that is a North American term being used and in Britain, it is known as ' Skirting board'..
