Hi Lisa, thanks for posting your wisdom tooth extraction experience. Reminds me of my own...all four. That seems like a cheap bill. Even with my dental plan here in the US where the insurance company pays 80%, a wisdom tooth extraction is between $250 to $350. I had mine out quite a while ago. They did two at a time and put me out (unconscious) during each procedure which were about two months apart. I remember rinsing my mouth with warm salt water helped the healing process. Hope you are feeling better and always happy to see your smile and watch your videos of life in Russia.

Also referred as the hood in Canada. That car reminds me of my first car(I was 26). It was a 1967 Hillman/Sunbeam Minx, so an old car when I got it in 1990. It was red, but very dull looking, because the paint had oxidized. A short time before I sold it someone gave me a very small about of a special polish, I used it on the hood, and I swear that the paint was so shiny that I could see my reflection!

Good job Lisa! You did great! I'm really glad you had such a supportive doctor. That makes a huge difference, especially if you don't know what to expect and it's your first time going through this procedure and you're feeling nervous. I forgot about the swelling. I remember my face swelled up as well. It's unfortunate that you had to endure such pain. I guess I was lucky. I think it's different for everyone as far as pain goes. They gave me Tylenol 3 but I didn't take it, I really wasn't in any pain after. It's interesting that you have to go back to have the stitches removed. Here in Canada they just used dissolving stitches. You chose some really good things to eat. I forgot about having to eat soft foods for a while. I think I honestly just had soup broth for a few days. Which, wasn't very tasty and left me feeling hungry. How did you do with getting the bleeding to stop? They gave me gauze but said I could use teabags too. Teabags were much better. By the way in English, это капот на машина, это значит hood по-английски.

EDIT: CLOVES (гвоздика) may help -- you probably know already but don't do liquids unless you can swallow them right away. as they will slosh around to your packing/sockets. anything you can swallow quickly is good, but anything that is messy in the mouth may irritate the sockets. generally anything you need to chew is a little irritating. Let the clots form good and heal up a bit before getting adventurous. waiting early will make it easier later as it clears up fairly quickly. ALSO consider salt water rinses .. after eating as you don't want an infection of the sockets . I am guessing your dentist told you that. I was doing liquid diet for a while, it feels great when you finally get to eat solid food again. CAR: The term grew in popularity during the early 20th century. A hinged cover enclosed the engine compartment but still made it easy to do maintenance and repairs. The term “hood” comes from its resemblance to a head covering. However, people used this term long before the “hoodie” sweatshirt became a fashion choice. BONNET is an old fashioned lady's head covering. The origin of hooded garments dates back to the European Middle Ages when workers wore hoods attached to their capes, known as chaperons. The purpose of the hood was to protect them from rain and snow in the simplest way possible. Nice Shortwave radio I have one like that that was made in Germany when there was still an east and west Germany.

I ate porridge for 1 week after my right wisdom tooth was removed, and the stitches at the surgery site were very uncomfortable when eating. I took 1 analgesic, 2 antibiotics, but I added paracetamol to support the pain relief. And after the stitches were removed, that was the moment I was able to eat rice again, but until now the position of the surface of my gums is still concave so that sometimes food residue can get stuck there, even though now it getting shallow. During the post-surgery period, I didn't drink anything sweet and hot nor eat spicy and sour food until the 5th day, because when I entered the 6th day, I felt that the surface of my gums had closed completely.
