Thank you for the ideas.....!! Your projects look absolutely fabulous....!! I have some solid brass bowls just sitting in my basement that my brother gave me, which I truly had no idea what to do with, but they were just to pretty to get rid of so I've held on to them for quite a while and I do believe they'll work perfectly for a floral arrangement sorta like the one in the video, so I'm gonna give it a try and hopefully they turn out half as good as hers did...!! However the pillows are my absolute favorite, actually I do believe they're my favorite christmas DIY I've seen so far this year, and I've seen a lot in the past 2 month's....!! I'm definitely making my own....!! I really love the christmas red colored ones, but since I've already got some velvet burgundy one's I think I'll just go with those and add some green velvet ribbon for the bows.....!!

Lisa I did copy your nutcracker. I used a short nutcracker. I too added a wider base. I took your advice and sanded the top of the hat to be flat. I used a candle cup on top of the hat. On top of that I added a 6” round for stability and then a 9” round on top of that. Besides gluing all the pieces on I also screwed all the top pieces to the hat and the 2 bottom pieces together.

This popped up on my feed. Great idea for the nutcracker, but the plastic plate made it look cheap. After adding square base and metal round to the helmet, you had enough stability to use a real plate.
