When we began camping in 2008, I used a camping journal. It was a composition notebook from a dollar store. I decorated the cover with scrapbook paper and stamps. That’s as close to a travellers journal as I’ve done. Loved you introduction to the journals.

I love all the information on travelers journals you provided in this video. I really didn’t understand what they were all about. I love all the many different ideas on how to use them. I’m excited to play with them. My journey had been kind of the opposite of yours. I started with scrapbooking 25 years ago and then got into card making. I need to finish up my daughter’s college scrapbooks and then move on to engagement and wedding with the snapshot photos. Now 18 years after their marriage (May 30) I finally have a granddaughter to make scrapbook pages of. My daughter and her husband fostered to adopt an infant girl. My sweet granddaughter just tuned two years old a month ago. We are so blessed. I guess my point being is that the lull of photos between the wedding and the addition of our miracle baby is when I was busy with card making. Anyway, thank you so much for introducing me to the travel journal. ♥️♥️♥️

Thank you for all the info on TN. I love your use for them especially for memory keeping since I love scrapbooking. You have inspired me even more! Btw, my youngest brother went to UF many many years ago. We grew up in Jax., FL. Heading there now to spend time with my parents. May God guide you and your son to the right college for him. I know it’s not an easy task. 🥰💝

You're welcome, Diana. Glad you liked the video. It's definitely a small world. UF is in my son's top three colleges. I agree...most certainly not an easy decision. Enjoy your time with your parents and thank you for the kind words.

I’ve been using TN’s for years - love them! Cahier size is sometimes referred to as Standard Wide, too. It is my favorite size for memory keeping/journaling. TN’s make good art journals if you use the type with heavier paper so it absorbs the water. Hope you do more videos, Lisa. 😊 Thanks for sharing!

🤦🏻♀️ now I’m gonna go crazy on travelers notebooks! $$$! 🤣. Seriously, this would be a good idea for my daughter to use for journaling my granddaughters Crohn’s journey. She was diagnosed at age 5(!!) and is now 7. The amount of appointments, infusions, tests, meds, etc that she needs to keep track of is mind boggling. This would be a great tool for her! Thank you!!! We can at least make it fun for her!

Lisa, I was so excited when I saw this video! I’ve used Traveler’s Notebooks for a long time. I like them more than doing scrapbook pages because of just what you said...too much planning and overwhelming. So TNs work great for me. (Also, smashbooks.). Would love to see more TN videos from you! Oddly enough I do use mine mostly to document our trips. My husband and I used to travel a lot pre-COVID. Now that we have our vaccines we are ready to travel to Florida again in June!!!

thank you for this! i have thought about doing a travelers notebook for my mother. she has been journaling a lot since my father passed 5 years ago. this would give her a place to write her thoughts and activities and have pretty things to muse over while she’s writing. thank you! on another note, copic has a free app to keep track of your markers. my phone goes everywhere i go so i always have my list with me!

Thanks for the super great explanation of travelers notebooks. I hope your daughter knows how to tell snapping turtles from other kinds. Maybe you don't have snappers in FL? That would have been a whole different ugly memory. I've not used them, don't expect to, but I'd watch pretty much anything you post because you really do make me think I can do "it" too.

Hey Lisa they say "it's better to as for forgiveness than than ask for permission" LOL. Your story about your husband and son's haircut was so cute. Thank you for all this info. I would not have thought about memory keeping because like you that 12x12 sheet is a little intimidating. This would be perfect. Could I ask what you use to get your small pictures? Please continue to show what your doing and what your using in your Travels notebook. You have a lovely family. TFS
@LisaMearsDesigns3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Deb. I use the Pic Collage app on my iPhone to get the smaller size pics. I set up a collage photo which is 4x6 in size. This allows me to include multiple images to fit on a 4x6. I print my pics at Walgreens. There are several other apps out there that can also print smaller sizes. Just search for “picture collage” and several will come up.

@LisaMearsDesigns2 жыл бұрын
Hi Nehha. That really depends on how thick you make your inserts. The more pages you have in each insert, the more stuff you add to the pages, the thicker the inserts become. I have some with 3, 4, and even 5 inserts so it's really up to you.
