Try to get to a Benfica home match, their mascot is a Bald Eagle which they release before KO and it flies above the crowd and circles the stadium, it's a great sight to see, their nick name is the Eagles.

I stayed in that neighborhood for a week in 2021. Loved it except for all the guys offering drugs everytime you walked by them. They stopped asking after I told one guy I was a retired drug cop 😂 Lisbon is great spot to visit. Cheers.

Lisbon looks like it could be worth a long weekend visit Kevin, some lovely old city buildings and good restaurants, if you get a chance to get down to the Tagus riverside the Ponte Salazar bridge is spectacular and the beautiful memorial to Vasco De Gama

Went there a few years ago. As you said , the Portuguese that l met and chatted to also came across as very friendly , genuine people that are proud of their country .. Couldn’t believe how much Ronaldo is idolised.
