I am traveling to Portugal the day after for my 1st solo trip. I am anxious, nervous, paranoid and everything in between. Watching you do it is giving me a whole lotta courage and inspiration, so thank you! Would you mind sharing where you did the RT-PCR test in Lisbon and how much did it cost? Also did you have to book it before? Another question (sorry!) - did you get WiFi everywhere to access Google maps, search for places on the internet etc. or did you activate an international data plan on your cell phone before traveling. I am worried that I am going to get lost and won’t have access to the internet to get a taxi or find my way back to the hotel using maps. Thank you!!! So so glad that this video helped, I'm sure you'll have a great time 😊 this website might help for covid test bookings: www.jcs.pt/pt/home there is wifi around but I mostly relied on data roaming to use Google maps! the public transport is quite straightforward and most things are a walkable distance.

The Pasteis de bacalhau for 5 euros are not the best , try them at the local pastries place 1.80euros and so much tastier. Portugal is one of the safest country in the world, but you must still be careful. Good job on the footage 💕

Portugal is the 3rd safest country in the world, you are pretty safe travel alone in Portugal. At 7:03 you can even swim there, the Tagus River is not polluted like the Thames River in London, but because is a river with strong with a strong river current is impossible to put sand there because the sand disappear in less than one month. But there are one beach in the Tagus river call Santo Amaro Oeiras beach because is a cove that the river cant wash the sand away.

Hi there, in a few days I will be visiting Portugal by myself. I'm staying in a hostel as well. This will be my first time staying in a hostel and going outside of North America in general. I am a little bit anxious and nervous about traveling Europe by myself. Is it easy to get around? Do people speak English there? How friendly is everyone? Is it safe?

Most people can speak basic English and in my experience, Lisbon and Porto were pretty safe, easy to get around if you use Google Maps and people were nice 😊

you don't need to quarantine only if you have had both vaccine doses for at least 14 days, this was the requirement for me when I travelled from the UK
