i love the different direction you went with decorating for punchy, he’s also my favorite villager and i did a more cute and simple vibe with blues and whites, and cat-like items like the cat tower, cat grass, and a pet fish and bird 😅 i also put his house next to the beach and made a little fishing spot to satisfy his cat appetite. would love to share my DA but i’m not ready to post it yet

This build turned out so cute! I love the lazy bachelor in the city vibes. Whenever I have an awkward space like you did in the bedroom with the partition wall, I always replace it with some shelves, especially when one is facing the bedroom and the other faces the adjoining room. Like a little window and you can place stuff too. Fills space much better imo

I'm not quite so bothered by the heights of the counters, but one potential use for the tall one where the height might not be such a bother for you would be as a divider of sorts. Like, you know how restaurants will have dividers between booth seats, usually with either plants or a decorative glass panel on top? That (I know there is a plant divider, but it's kinda short to serve as a booth divider, so the tall counter height might actually work better with some flower or potted bonsai on top). As far as the small counter goes, I like to pick an area of the build that I wanna use to display stuff, then put a few of the short counters together, with tall counters bookending either side of the short counters. It creates a sort of height framing for drawing the eye towards whatever items you put on display on top of the counters (pictures of friends, plants, pet fish and/or bugs, whatever clutter-y items that villager would reasonably wanna display).

For the counters, theres actually a counter item that is slightly smaller then the counter youre using. Although there arent many color options for it i feel like you could make it work:)

Gurrrl I understood your struggle since the moment this video started. This happened to me as well while building a house for my favorite villager, Marshal, and ended up doing basically the same build as you haha the houses are so similar it is INSANE. The bachelor pad way was the logical way at that moment, however I will definitely come back and revisit when I have a stronger vision for his house. I think the stakes are way too high when it comes to your favorite child, kinda ironic but true hahaha. Anyways I loveeeed your final result and I think Punchy has an awesome crib now. you’re 100% right about the counters. Only the low one fits for the smaller villagers like ducks or squirrels. Why couldn’t they have it line up with the kitchen stuff 😭 but anyway, punchy is one of my faves too! This looks really good!

The gray vinyl flooring isn't ugly, it's just that it's not super compatible. When I first made my kitchen, I didn't even use the flooring, I used a custom design that was basically the same thing, but the squares were smaller, giving it a much cleaner look. The vinyl floorings have this major issue of the squares being too big, and when you lay one of them down in a small room like that, it makes the room feel smaller. It's like trying to lay a massive rug in a bedroom, it's too big and it winds up taking too much attention than simply complimenting the room, but put that same rug in the living room, a bigger room, and it wraps said room together just fine. Maybe the flooring will work in an upstairs or basement, but probably not a small room like that.

Harry auto filled on my island and I was so so upset… he refuses to leave even tho I ignore tf out of him always. I used to hate the counters too until I stopped seeing them as counters - it’s like a lowboard and half-wall kinda situation ? If that makes sense? You can use other items as counter-height options. I love your videos! Thank you!
