Just listen for a few days or so. Then consider how much better you would feel and think if you started determining your own voice in your self talk. If this seems odd, then take a character you admire out of a book or show, and use the voice of that character to talk to yourself. "Well I certainly could do better on that!" I absolutely love how the British handle emergency calls, especially with children. It's a big deal when a pregnant woman falls down stairs, but this lovely emergency worker makes it sound like a tea party with crumpets and jam. I love the 'my darling' and 'my lovely' phrases. No one does this stuff better than the British do. On American calls with a child it's always tense, and sounds like the proverbial "teeth pulling", with the emergency 911 call takers sounding like they've never dealt with a child in their life.

You're using this one example and choosing to lambaste all US emergency services as troglodytes... fam, this call is the exception no matter where it's from. And the "my lovely, my darling" comments? She was trying to keep the kid calm, it was a tactic! Get out of your biased corner and go find some local childcare workers to appreciate instead of worshipping a singular example and hating on another entire group of people for the sheer audacity of being born American. Racist.
@michelelein9094 Жыл бұрын
@Undomaranel No, it's not an exception. I was in the hospital recently, and the DNS was from Britain. She called me 'My Lovely' and 'My Darling', too. I'm allowed to have an opinion and not be labeled a racist. It was simply an innocent comment on the differences in cultures and the way people handle different situations. I've called 911 many times because I have multiple medical issues, and the emergency services operators are always cold and distant. The most they tell me is to stay on the on the phone until the EMTs arrive. Geez, chill!

That paramedic deserves a standing ovation. The gentleness of here tone and the fact she uses simple words and is constantly comforting the child is incredible.

Don't get panicked when situations goes wrong that little girl sounds calm and more over clear minded
@zubairzubbu5 жыл бұрын
Yes, the girl is in that particular situation is with Plesence and Presence of mind. Children didn't think about what if anything negative happens or something will gone wrong ....they just deal with it....
@albinbaiju89565 жыл бұрын
That's mainly because she was too young to even know how seriously dangerous this incident was...she might have been doing what her mommy told her at the moment...but fortunately everything turned out to be good...in the description it says the mother and the baby was saved.
@blkbbw82955 жыл бұрын
She’s too small to know the gravity of the situation. She probably has never witness something die before so of course she thought her mother was just going back to sleep 😣. Also, out of the *Fight, Flight or Freeze response* . Seeming calm when you’re actually in *shock & disassociating* is part of the *Freeze* response.
