Our people suffer from a serious case of inferiority complex. The fact that we have multiple vids/podcast talking bout dating outside is evident of our self hating mindset. You would never see other races sit and talk about dating out! They understand that the progression and self preservation of their race is built on sticking together, romantically, economically, culturally and spiritually. We are the ONLY race that fights tooth and nail to date out. Our constant reasoning is based on emotions alone. We do not think logically or for long term. Shit is sad.
@lonigibson2797
@lonigibson2797 10 ай бұрын
So true 💯 It is very sad how this is even a conversation that our people even considers to be an important discussion to have when it is not. With the current condition of the black community, talking about dating outside of our race should be the least of our concern when in fact, it is not in anyway beneficial to our race. We have way more things to worry about. Instead, we should be talking about how to reunite, build up our community to be strong again, addressing the issues with the genocide of black men killing each other & black women hating on each other and how divided we are & all the issues that have been detrimental to our community. Also we should be talking about how black men and black women should love on one another. It is enough self hatred within our community as it is and interracial relationships only contributes to the issues that we have which makes it worse, but our people think that dating out will solve those problems when in reality, they are just running away from facing the problem. At the end of the day, no matter what anybody says, no one understands our struggles the way we do and this is why we should stick together and promote black love. We don't need anyone else but each other.

@@lonigibson2797 See but what you're requesting from our people requires work and a lot of us do not want to put in the work when it comes to building with each other. Most of our people are comfortable living in their own demise. Deviating from that would warrant us looking in the mirror and self reflecting. So it's much easier to sit and have nonsensical debates about sex, gender wars and dating out. Most of our people are in a childlike state. We are easily influenced by things that holds no value to our betterment.

Then you package in the obstinate, combative behavior, demanding attitude, and unwillingness to take any kind of direction and/or constructive criticism, my thought process goes to "why am I here?" Just gonna add one more comment to this video, I didn't agree with the brotha in green with the gold chain about mixed/biracial children... well, a slight disagreement. I do agree that generally mixed/biracial children won't be seen as White/European American obviously, however they're not always Black/African passing either & I think 🤔it's a bit disrespectful to their individual experiences to just lump them all as Black, & more often then not, some of these mixed offspring do end up marrying or dating White people & if they have children, those children will lean more White culturally & probably phenotypically too; there needs to be a cut off point with this one drop rule. In other countries mixed people have their own ethnic group, & this goes in hand with the trauma bonding topic in the video, I don't think it is healthy to only bond with someone based off of a trauma, it helps at times yes, but it shouldn't be the primary driving force of unity & solidarity.

There were some wise words about people loving who they love, and that if the partner was truly reciprocating in love, support, nurture, and protection, than colour really cannot matter. The crew unpacked some deep, complex ideas, in addition, sometimes with skepticism, sometimes with rigidity, often times with humour. I need to come back to process in detail. That's the result of smart people grappling with difficult ideas. Thumbs up. Time well spent.

I'm married to a black man and I've dated both my race (I'm Greek so my whiteness is debatable I guess) and other races before. One thing I must admit is I'd never, and I mean NEVER date a man who uses the terms snow bunny/snow puppy, I mostly avoided black Americans especially because they make everything about race and I am a very proud person so I'm not one to bow down to anyone. Black Americans seem to have this need for people to kind of worshipping blackness in order to not see them as racist and I'm not about to do that. I can't even worship my own race. My husband is a Guinean Muslim, I'm a Greek Christian, yet we're each other's people...none is coming between us, not race, not religion. Marriage is family. People in America seem to put more gravity on surroundings than the family itself. If you'd let "your people" disrespect your partner then you don't deserve said partner imo and I think IR relationships in the US are much harder than they are in the rest of the world.... That's just me though. Maybe it's just my experience with Americans in general and I'm wrong. I could be wrong 🤷🏻‍♀️

The idea of preference is not that simple. As a people, we are surrounded by almost everything (media, history, grandparents, etc) telling us that wyt is better and more attractive. So when blck men choose wyt women, they have been conditioned to do so. It's not as simple as preference. We have been brainwashed for centuries that eurocentric features are more desirable than afrocentric ones (especially when it comes to women). We have grandparents still teaching us that mixed people hair and wyt people hair is "good hair." When a blck man or blck woman gives their bloodline to a wyt person, that mixed kid does not always look blck. And often, mixed kids are torn between two identities. It is natural that a mixed child would prefer the superior race (which we have been taught is wyt). If that mix kid partners with wyt, and subsequent generations keep partnering with wyt, blackness is lost

What push, I cannot stand BM like you, the overwhelming majority of black women want black man. You should see how most women react to me, even having the audacity to suggest dating outside the race !! it always disgust me how BM are more concerned with the underwhelming, 3% of black women compare to the 25% of eligible dating BM who date outside of the race. You are more concerned about the minority over the majority, how the hell do you think some BW feeling ? Especially when a lot of our successful black men are dating other races of women. And before you start, I already know over 70% of black men are dating black women, but the unfortunate problem is only 30% of black men are married so if Jamie who is white and offering marriage and a relationship and provision and protection to my sister, do you honestly think I’m going to tell her not to date him because she needs to wait around for Tyrone. The same way Blackman exercise their rights is the same way. Black women have the right to date whoever they want. So many of you Client, you don’t care but look how triggered it has got you at just the idea that a black woman can have the audacity to try something new. I don’t know why you are so concerned about women who don’t like you. One thing about the black community. The man have a plethora of ride or die, hard back, “pick me” mammies who will go to the ends of the Earth for black man, and who cannot stand black women like me who have married outside the race. So please pick from those options, and don’t worry about the very small minority of black women who are dating out and the even smaller percent of black women who don’t want you to begin with!!

A MESSAGE to BLACK MEN. I'm a 53-year-old blk male Jehovah's Witness who's never been married. I would like to tell you about something I witnessed at the Kingdom Hall today. September 10, 2023. I saw a young blk sister who's married to a non blk man. Hug or embrace a man of European descent. Not her husband. Now this is a meeting place of Jehovah's Witnesses. So naturally the standards are different than many other places. But on one seemed to care. I had to really think about the dynamics of the whole thing. What if she had hugged me? Even though were both blk, the waters would have parted. What if a sister of European descent married to a blk man were to embrace me? Likely it would be an issue too. What if a blk sister married to a blk man were to embrace me? Likely it would be a problem. And what if a young single sister of any race were to hug me? Likely the waters would also part. But let's go farther. What if a blk brother married to a sister of European descent were to embrace another sister of European descent, not his wife? Likely it would be an issue. Or, what if any blk brother married to any sister of any race were to hug any sister near his age or younger not his wife? Likely it would be an issue. Yes, I'm speaking in a certain religious context. But the principles can apply across the board. The bottom line is blk men do not have sufficient access to their own women. And blk men do not have the same access to other women as other men have to blk women. Blk men should seriously consider these facts. It says a lot about how other people think and feel about us. Often even in religious situations or settings.

Great talk yal. Respectfully, I think we can sometimes have a very superficial way of looking at relationships. Yes, it does come down to intent but at the end of the day, you gonna love who you gonna love. period. Look at James Baldwin? Although he was lgbtq+ he furthered the community and was indeed problack. Can't shame a black man you dont know when you dont know the function/dynamic of their mind and relationship. Some of these men date outside their race because they were other'd from their community from the jump for being different/lame/etc. If anything, these attituedes only further reinforce these feelings. Also, you CANNOT be pro-black if you invalidate another person's blackness for who they chose to love. Being black is not what we wear, what we listen to, or who we date, Its who you are and we all put points on the board together.

This is an interesting conversation. As a white women in a relationship with a black man, I knew people would not always be accepting. Reading the comments isn't comforting at all. White people CAN understand the trauma black people have been through. I think with open and honest communication we can understand each other and help each other work through traumas and discrimination. In this whitewashed country we can be one of your biggest advocates, and many of us want to.

Lisa, us Africans [Blacks] in America have been red-lined, denied loans, wrongfully imprisoned, spit on, thrown bannas at, bombed in Phillidelphia/Tulsa, water hosed, shot while unarmed, endured medical aparthied, and inhumanely enslaved for 400+ years. How can you as a European honeslty expect us to not stare at you and your Black spouse, become triggred at you and your Black spouse, and STRONGLY diapprove of you and your Black spouse? Where's America attempt to make amends with us not including a holiday or street name?

To pause at 7 min mark. I get that. But i go with my preference...not necessarily attention. Most of us bm prefer bw, but we get better attention and seemingly interest from ww, we just gotta keep it a buck. But then when you dig deeper, you see that most of that smiling in ya face is fake AF. Others just got maybe ulterior motives...like maybe fetishy or whatever. So yeah, im good on that. Yeah, would a lot of us Love for our women to be a little more receptive to us, and it dont feel sooo much of a pull away or resistance...absolutely. But we gotta deal with it. It is what it is.

You can't be "Pro Black" and be with a white person because you have to take on what comes with that white persons heritage & up bringing. Now If you on some "friends with benefits" thing, that's different. Having casual sex has very little meaning. Getting in a committed relationship has a lot of meaning which in turn changes the dynamic of what you stand for.
