So there are truths on both sides. So I think something to be considered is to look for a healed, respectful, and considerate spouse. Then, each gender needs to focus on turning around their base and youth for the better, thus producing better outcomes. Also, it was stated to create more economic bridges amongst ourselves and the diaspora. If we can create jobs, we won't have to be forced to work where we don't enjoy. We just need to work on the respect portion. Where there are opportunities or ideas, there is revenue. Lastly, we can like nice things, but we give stacks away for vague status symbols that don't age well as assets, i.e., chains, shoes, and name brand clothing. We should be trying to produce our own. This dialog was dope none the less.

They keep coming back to the woman the gets pregnant nurtures the baby in her belly gives birth to the baby in pain then she has to raise the baby because the man thinks that's the woman's job even though she has a little boy first time around. When is it a man going to take accountability and when he can't handle the bills guess what that woman will go out and work and have a family member watch her kids or put the kid in daycare when they're old enough and still come home and cook. So how is a woman supposed to rest in her femininity. White women have been resting in their femininity and their masculinity and still keeping her husband are you kidding me white men ain't dumb because they know they ain't s*** without their woman.

Man, it's crazy that Dr. Umar spent over an half an hour trying to drill in individualism vs. community, and they still couldn't get it. They just kept going back to themselves. How conceited can you be? As a man who may not check up all boxes of what he deeds being for our community, I totally agree with him. Black men need to stop worrying about what blame black women has and focus on what we can improve upon ourselves starting with our young men.

I understand the notion of community. But if everyone did their own individual part, then the community would fall in line. Our problem is that we focus too much on the community and not individual achievement.
@tman229
@tman229 Жыл бұрын
@@ericwatkins4581 That's not true. Look at all the successful people that we know about that does right by them and their family but sell the rest of the community out. We have tons of black successful Republicans (not conversative leaning so we don't confuse the two) who work to sell lies about how American treats black systematically. We have black successful democrats who suckers us into fighting for everyone but ourselves. Look at Jay Z who lead us to vote for people like Hillary Clinton or got us to fall back against the NFL. And this is all while being paid by these groups. And this happens to us on all levels and on all sides. Black people scattered all over the place over what they "believe" which is why we have no political power. This is what happens when you focus on too much as an individual and none as an community. As a community, less people gets left behind and ends up being a pookie and rayray to be a poison to the community. As an individualism, you care less about them and leave them to be a detriment to our kids and grandkid's future which is part of the american system.

@ericwatkins4581 and what if people never do their part? Do you just wash your hands of the bc and walk away? Umar is a genius because he is a psychologist. He knows that 10 people can do the same thing, and if you asked them why, you would get ten different reasons. That's just for simple tasks. Choosing who you love is the most complicated thing you can do as a human being. He's gaslighting black America for fame. If he could predict why people behave the way they do simply based on observation, He would be a billionaire with a noble peace prize. Love who you want. Life is short. @@troydilworth8789 Beloved, it's crucial to understand the welfare system and child support within the larger context of the system that has been created. These systems you mentioned trace back to slavery, Jim Crow laws, and mass incarceration, all aimed at dismantling the power of black families and communities. To suggest that this is solely about individual choice overlooks the institutionalized nature of this system and how it has been ingrained in our Americanized culture. I understand where you're coming from, and I respect your perspective that individual choice does play a part. That being said, it's worth noting the contradiction in the arguments made by the person in question. They mention "pookie and ray ray" but lack the consciousness of attracting "BoQuisha and sha sha." It's important for both men and women to reflect on their own reasons for choosing these mates and address any underlying biases or beliefs that may be influencing their choices. As Umar was saying, we need to zoom out and focus on the bigger picture - the system that forces both men and women into certain choices. It's like the Adam and Eve story, where they turned against each other instead of addressing the real issue. This sneaky snake of a system destroys our sense of self and blocks our ability to truly see and understand each other. And let's not forget, it strips us of our power. So, while individual choices do matter, we can't overlook the destructive force of this system that have forced us into choices out of survival and out of response to our emotional, historical, and collective trauma. We have to dismantle these Jim Crow laws that turn us against each other and come together!

What touched me is that, I’ve been renovating homes in small communities in Macon, Ga that’s predominantly black. The white investors literally put crap together and rent it. I fixed a property with a quality design and contractors would say why are you fixing the property nicely for these people who live around here just patch it. And I would say, it is going to cost me the same labor and eventually the same amount to renovate. Let’s keep it real on the white side of town, not only is the work quoted cheaper but the quality of work is better. But my Black renters are so pleased with the homes we renovate, we want them to feel like someone cares. It’s up to us to start caring again for each other even in business.

I mostly look at dr. Umar Johnson as the Broken Clock. He's right about twice a day. There are plenty of things that I can say that I don't agree with but I definitely agree with him on the point that he was making about systemic issues that have destroyed black boys and black men are not taking accountability for them. On top of that, black men want to blame black women for ending up with black men who are not healed when black men have not taken an overall role in making sure that Pookie and Ray-Ray do not exist in the first place. I will not discount white supremacy because it played a huge role in the decimation of our communities, but I have a huge problem with any black man who wants to continually blame black women for the issues that we face as a community and they not take accountability. Like dr. Umar Johnson said, if two-thirds of women are raising children by themselves, how do you black man not see a larger problem? Why does it always have to end up with it's her choice? It's like if you sit down at a restaurant and they hand you a menu and the only thing they serve are hamburgers, the only thing you're going to eat is a hamburger. With that analogy, if the majority of black men that black women are presented with are not healed black men, how do you expect black women to be with a black man on a larger scale who is healed and whole and able to provide for family? I believe that black women need to do better but I damn sure will not allow white supremacist talking points from black men to continually black Gaslight black women in believing that every issue in her life is her fault. This is what the manosphere does all day long and it needs to stop.
