It's unlikely that the real Calsonic R32 will ever come to these shores...it's just too valuable. Thanks to the legend that is Ric for building this 'homage' that shows just how good the cars of the JSCC / JGTC were. 29 wins out of 29 starts over 3 seasons, or summat like that. These were effectively banned here in Australia after smoking the V8's from Holden & Ford (before the Sierra's). The people running the old Group A/ B series cobbled the Skylines (and later Sierra's) with more weight, less downforce and turbo restrictors because GM (Holden) had a massive sook that their ancient 308ci based 304ci V8 was getting smoked (context: V8 Supercars et al, is & was always stacked with ex GM/ GMH executives)

They are running a lot of negative camber for maximum grip on the inside wheel when cornering at speed
@birdk34213 ай бұрын
The GT-R at the time was set up closer to FR, so the strong push under resulted in an extreme camber angle.
@EssexCountyPhoto3 ай бұрын
Thanks guys! 👍🏻
@brianj77873 ай бұрын
Front right is lifting on the right hand corner because weight transfers to the outside of the corner. As a result you get more pressure and more grip on the outer tires, and you want that outer tire to be as flat to the ground as possible for the most contact, again more grip. So by running aggressive camber, you can ensure the outer tire is flat on the ground, and while this decreases contact for the inner wheel, due to weight transfer it doesn't outweigh the added grip from the outside. This varies a bit with suspension design as well, MacPherson vs double A arms do better with different amounts of camber. Drifting takes this concept to the extreme because of how sideways the cars need to get.
