Saying the first time he was on the podium together with Kunimitsu Takahashi was more important than his first win shows what a awesome guy Tsuchiya san is.
That was such a beautiful story for his memory to come together as if realizing a dream from 1993 come to reality. That is an amazing machine, looks like so much fun to drive but also very physically demanding!

D Perez how they can focus so intently under high pressure conditions for so long is amazing. I’m cooked after 7 laps at the local indoor gokart track. Those 12 y.o girls gave me Arun for my money!
i always thought i was pushing the car too hard in my racing sim because i was always sliding around corners, i guess i was doing it right the whole time!

back in the days the tires/aero/suspension etc weren't as good, and boost took a lot longer to build up, so it was usually worth keeping the powerslides a good chunk of the time.
Absolute legend of a car. King of the OZ touring cars also. Was years ahead of its time

And yet the best ever version of a GT-R race car was built in Australia by Gibson Motorsport. They were truly in a league of their own.

Tsuchiya San makes the in car footage look so slow because he is such a smooth driver, but in actual fact he is at race pace. As you can see from the footage from outside the car.
