What I love about John Farnham is that he has the self confidence to allow his band and guests the time and space to do their thing. Some seem to be jealous of giving anyone else a spotlight.

John is just the greatest. Of all time. Give a concert? He loves singing, he loves his fans - It's more like "let's all party together". 15.9.23. E❤

Me too, I wonder if Farnsey ever looks at them. Would be interesting to find out. Love & adore him. His voice is sublime. I have had the pleasure at being to his concerts 10 times. Never EVER fails to impress me. He is after all “The VOICE”. He is the G.O.A.T (greatest of all time)! ❤️❤️❤️❤️him…

I loved Jon Stevens he was brilliant...AS for Farnsey ?? He couldn't even be a little bit pitchy if he tried, he's a pro. I worked with him in a pantomine too many years ago now to even remember, it was called Dick Whittingtons Cat. Everyone liked him, stage hands, cleaners, it didn't matter what you did he was just simply nice

I was lucky enough to see JF twice in concert, what a great experience it was. I was that close to the stage, on one occasion, to walk down and shake JF’s hand. I was the only one there at that moment in time, he was singing Burn for you and it was like that song was just for me lol After the show JF’s manager Glen Wheatley was standing near the exit and I got to shake his hand as well and to tell him JF never, ever disappoints in his concerts, he gives his all. It was really a dream come true, not only to watch JF perform but to shake his hand, bonus. And it is true JF is a beautiful human and truly enjoys giving his fans an experience to remember. RIP Glen Wheatley, a man whose True Belief in JF never waived. ❤️

John can sing anything to me. I am just sorry I didn’t really know what he had or appreciated it enough when I was young. Sadie and Raindrops Keep Falling on my head were not cool when I was a young teen. Now they make me smile. As his voice got bigger he got my attention.

I guess, we`ll never have live performances like that again. And I mean like in those days.....When I think back to those days, this is the sound that to a great extend influenced the way I look at Rock/Pop etc. I miss the performers of the time, the clarity of the music - if that makes sense. In a way that has me dissatisfied at times with contemporary music - the mark of an older man yearning back to yesterday.

Thanks Matt, l'd forgotten l even requested this. I probably wouldn't have requested them as stand alone songs because they do flow well. But still great. I've always loved Listen to the Wind, Touch of Paradise not so much but the two songs together work well.. This is from Expo 88 , one of my favourite Farnham shows. Thanks for the request. * Throwing Mike stands is kind of a signature Farnham move, you just duck!!!

John Farnham is such a wonderful person he always takes his band members and backup singers to anything special. Have a look at your video of John with Ray Charles. The backup singers are there. When he did a concert with Tom Jones he insisted that his whole band and backup singers were included with Tom Jones band. Thanks 😊 Love Michelle.

This is also the reason why John later took Lindsay's guitar off of him....it was making Lindsay hit the wrong harmony note(not a wrong NOTE....just not the note John was expecting) and throwing John off....:):):)

John has a bit of a thing going, throwing and twirling the mike stands - features in many concerts. I'm not sure if he's ever hit anyone!! John always works with brilliant musicians and gives them credit and feature time in his concerts. Many have stayed with him across the years and some have gone on to bigger things. His backup singers have also been with him a long time, especially Lindsay Fields. You can see that John just lives and loves music - good music, whether that's vocal or instrumental. You would really enjoy his video: The Man of the Hour where you see him in studio with some band members. It's one of my favourite songs by him, so as your interest is in jazz/blues, check that video for yourself - great little cameo with the sax and Lindsay Fields featuring a bit more. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZnXf4CLYqh7kMU

1988 was an awesome year for me, I was 23 had a good job and ran amok on the weekends. Life was very carefree, the music was awesome and here in Melbourne Australia you could see top line bands all over the city for $5 -10 and that included a feed. Those days are sadly gone. John mentioned a band Noiseworks which would be well worth a listen, either No Lies or Take me back to you would be a good starting point. Singer Jon Stevens has a great voice as well.

Anthony Warlow has a full opera training. John Farnham has perfect pitch and has never had a single singing lesson. In 2013 the Australian musicians and singers voted for the best Australian singer of all time. John Farnham won 1st place hands down. He beat the opera singers even. Anthony Warlow came 75th Jimmy Barnes was 5th Tina Arena was 3rd. John Farnham has better perfect pitch than Pavarotti. I have never heard a single note off on thousands of hours of him on KZbin. Thanks

Take one look at him, he ain't cool. Not that every singer/musician needs to be "cool" but it's all pretty cliche ... How many farewell tours did he do? He and his manager got into strife over unpaid taxes so then came another farewell tour! Figuratively he has a mangina! This is a major embarrassment! I am enjoying the reaction though!
@Gymnastics-er3kx

Oscillate Wildly, John was never involved with off shore accounts to evade taxes, he did however stump up generously to help his friend Glen when he got into serious shit and served a short period of time for that debacle. If my memory serves me correctly our Paul Hogan who was then living in the U.S.A. got caught up in a similar scheme. John stood by his friend and family during Glens worst days, that to me shows us the measure of the man, he can sing almost any musical genre and sound good because he has a wonderful voice, loveable personality and simply delights in his craft and that shows during his concerts, the man’s a sharer,a supporter, a giver and and all around great bloke!
