Mobility exercises lubricate your body - move, so you can continue to move! Have a wiggle, that's where you start to feel better. Start where you are, and if you never give up, you don't fail! 😉 Great hearing the history, thanks.

Finding your videos Tom is changing my life and certainly my outlook for the better- feeling hopeful at 66 after a fall and L1 fracture (kyphoplasty w/ bone inserted in late August) The vids on mobility are really speaking to me and then having Jenni reiterate that around minute ten just settled into my brain in a classic “a-ha” moment! Love you guys and thank you immensely for your content!

I’ve been watching online shorts and really enjoying Tom and Jenni’s information and reasoning (also your Scottish accents! - it seems I guessed wrongly, sorry). Anyhoo, I had bought SMM a few days ago so coming across this podcast is perfect timing and I’m enthused to relearn and retrain. Thanks guys (as a kiwi living in Florida I’m often asked if I’m English/South African/ Australian 😅)

Bear here... It's cute how y'all think 30 is old. Im in Wisconsin (USA),57 and have been over 300 lbs for most of my life ( my goal is get to highschool wt of 280). Last week i saw one of your shoulder videos on FB and liked it enough to check you out on KZbin. Im liken what im seein on the flexability side of fitness. I like this conversation because it brings up the disadvantages of both sides ( being unflexable and i didn't know you could be too flexable). Thanks for what you do, Im delving deeper into your videos. Also i have a saying that fits your theme... Getting older is fine, getting decreped sucks, just sayen...

TY! Order. It is about Order, order of operations. We all seem to have a moment with that part of reality! The order, the sequence, the key, the scale. Like your point that they are the same movements approached informed by your best understanding of the needs of the situation, the movement's moment. Healing does seem to depend on commitment. Commitment may be the biggest limiting factor.

I have quite serious injuries to my back and neck from a horse accident years ago. With regular chiro I keep working. Here in Australia I've found doctors have NFI and physio (all the ones I've seen) just seem to aggravate it. Despite the injuries i can still put knee behind my shoulder but not with my leg straight like I used to and I can't just swing it up like I used to. Would love to get back to that

I have the same condition as Jenny, however I have the addition of not having a tendon in the center of my hip bone to hold my hip into place. I did a 2200 mile hike and my hips stayed in place until the last 150 miles and then my hip popped out. I am now having to learn how to keep my hip in place and strengthen... I'd been hiking 20 mi a day and now after 10 months I'm able to hike 5 miles, but not pain free. I have been using some of your mobility methods to start increasing my strength in muscles that were not even being used on my hike. A very slow process...

hEDS, EDS, HSD can suck so bad or not at all for some. It's so dependent what collagen, protein exactly is affected. Which btw is not known yet, only starting to be investigated slowly. And not only joints, your whole gut loops, blood vessels can be flopsier than others, fall down and there is NO muscle to exercise to keep it in place.....😢

When I did Zen and yoga I learned hyperflexbility is worse than being too tight. I'm 73 and loved pilates and yoga. I need to regain flexibility. I'm trained in somatics. So I know the emotional end. Just regaining my posture is huge and yes I know planks are best. Right now heel toe chest up and tail glutes tucked helps.
