The more I listen, the more I believe this solo section is one of, if not the best solo sections ever. The structure is amazing, the speed is fast, the perfection in which they perform live and in studio.....no wonder they are now my favorite band ever, after 50+ years of listening to metal.

The samurai concept of this video was planed by the video producers. The lyrics was written by the vocalist asami. So she said she was glad they caught its meaning in her interview. This song was shown in the free live concert video on KZbin a week ago too. I could watch they played it brilliantly! The members of LOVEBITES announced how they were doing lately after the live video. The guitarist (who plays the black guitar) and its composer miyako said she often thought about the meaning of her life, after corona virus infection happened and they didn't perform all their live concerts. All of them said they hoped to perform the live concert as soon as possible. I hope so too.

Ah i see, the samurai concept is something I wanted to touch on in the video but I couldnt find the words haha. They looked so good in that gear. We definitely need to check out their lives. Also gotta go see them live for sure.

@@dicodec They seems to have the common consciousness that they band together to win the victory in the world of Heavy Metal. They have often referenced that in their interviews. I think the lyrics have no direct references to samurai but the producers felt the courage to go forward to the future from them and they compared it to samurai's attitude. In fact, LOVEBITES released the mini album titled 'BATTLE AGAINST DAMNATION' 2 years ago. Keep listening to their songs!

I am glad to found this comment. the video producers did a great job. the symbols & the messages are beautifuly plain & clear. for example, Midori-chan & Miyako-chan dual guitars are the warning.. you better step aside from their way, it will be too late on 7:07 .. when a samurai lower the handled of their katana sword like that.. "oh my GOD" gonna be your last words 😁😁😁

Funny you should mention Iron Maiden. Both Miha (bassist who started this band) and Haruna (the drummer) are huge Iron Maiden and Helloween fans, which you already know. But not only that, they are also huge thrash metal fans. Have a listen to their song Hammer of Wrath. That could easily have been a track off of Among the Living, by Anthrax. Also, they play like this, in white, and in heels, LIVE. plenty of clips around to show that. They are that good. So good, that they are not only the first Japanese band signed to a western world label (Nuclear blast records; the same label Nightwish is on), but also are the only Japanese band to date to play at Wacken Open Air, which is the biggest outdoor festival in Europe, if not the world (bigger than the Donnington/Download festival).

I'm sad you took so much time to listen to LOVEBITES. They streammed a full concert on the 11th on youtube and you missed. It was amazing watching the show with the girls watching at the same time. They're very skilled, no doubt. Asami is a great vocalist, for me she is only behind Fuki (Unlucky Morpheus) and Yui (Yousei Teikoku), but I'm sure she'll catch up soon. My favorite songs are "The Hammer of Wrath" and "M.D.O.", but you should check "Break the Wall" too. In some days it's Miho's (the bassist) birthday. I hope to finish a drawing for her before that (I was lucky enough Asami saw the one I did for her in ther birthday, 8 days ago). Anyway, you should check more Unlucky Morpheus too. "Knight of Sword" official live video, then "Cadaver/Revadac" (I like some others better, but the concept behind it is brillhant!) and their newest, "Unending Sorceress". And you have to listen to Yousei Teikoku too. Start with "Shito Kanadeshi Hametuno Tategoto", then go to "flamma idola" and maybe "Shadow Corps" (althoug their most popular song seems to "Astral Dogma").
@dicodec4 жыл бұрын
Yeah sorry it took so long friend. We can't believe it took us so long to get there. Fuki is amazing for sure I haven't heard Yui yet. We will take on all of your suggestions as we do need to get back on Unlucky Morpheus as well as dive deeper into some other all female bands!
@r1ckNz4 жыл бұрын
@@dicodec I feel bad for you to have lost the concert. But it'll be released on home video soon. I don't know much about music so it's just my impressions. Fuki and Asami both have an powerful voice and great technique. But Yui's voice isn't that powerful. So she relies on technique and as she is also an actress she knows exactly the right way to convey the song's message. She adds some small things and different techniques in order to make you feel wathever she wants and I think she is really amazing on that. But Yousei Teikoku is a mixed band like Unlucky Morpheus, Yui is the only woman there. And Shiren (the screamer/guitarist from Unlucky Morpheus) was part of Yousei Teikoku until 2 or 3 years ago, but left due to his injury.

Wow, where to begin? Better than Iron Madden??? I enjoy your reactions. Unlike others you actually get into how the artists do what they do. Hopefully encouraging others to really examine music. I was jamming along trying to put my finger on why it was familiar & bam you hit it, Iron Madden. Maybe it's because I was a teenager during the I.M. years and it's nostalgia that I resist saying better but darn good. Excellent pick. Going to look for more to get in my playlist. Yes, there are subtitles, and they are indeed singing in English, but the problem, if you can call it that, is it's English with a strong Japanese accent. So some words are not enunciated quite accurately to our ears.

The founder and bassist Miho is a big fan of Maiden, which you might see on her bass, so indeed: there is a few influences there. Also: Iron Maiden are by many considered the grandfathers of powermetal. Miyako on the Deans, started music education pretty early; taking lessons on piano at 3. But at 18 she switched it out for a guitar, and has just in 12 years become a fierce shredder. But still: during the concert she can walk towards the piano and play the most wonderful pieces. Great musician!
