Just to help match names and faces of the four members, in order of appearance: (1) Jisoo (pronounced like G-Sue) is the one playing the traditional Korean zither called "geomungo", (2) Jennie is the one dressed in red who appears with the monster truck, (3) Lisa is the one in the earth-tone outfit, eating the black apple, (4) Rosé is the one holding the beating black heart while standing in black goo. Jisoo was born and raised in Korea. Jennie was born in Korea, but spent several years studying in New Zealand. Lisa is from Thailand. Rosé was born in New Zealand, but moved to Australia when she was young. Rosé is a native speaker of English. Jennie is almost perfectly bilingual (Korean and English, but a native speaker of Korean). Lisa's native language is Thai, but she's also fluent in Korean and English. Jisoo is a native speaker of Korean, but understands a lot of English. The group has a huge fan base. Each member has a big fan base. Don't be surprised if you get comments from fans of each trying to persuade you to like their favorite the most. It can be entertaining. Take it with a grain of salt and enjoy the group and feel free to have a bias or not have a bias in the group, whichever way you are inclined. All the members are really super talented in multiple areas and complement each other perfectly

There is a whole world of Blackpink. Their live shows are amazing. Their music videos are outrageously good. They do reality/behind the scenes type shows, comedy/variety shows, Vlogs, Vlives,... pretty much all social media. This group showed up during the pandemic outbreak when no one was going out nowhere. And they started setting records from the outset. Everyone was into them. Everyone was watching them. They blew up bigger and faster than anything ever has. Now they are just global queens.

Here's a "quick" bio so you have some context: BLACKPINK is a four girl group out of S. Korea. I don't want to categorize them as K-Pop as they're a blend of pop, EDM, rap, trap and hip hop. All four girls grew up in different countries (Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and S. Korea) and are all multilingual, speaking 3-5 languages each, three are fluent English speakers. Their writer/producer is a rapper who grew up in New York and California before moving to S. Korea, where he led a successful group before focusing on writing and producing and became a hitmaker for multiple artists. He's incredible at blending English and Korean smoothly and creating addictive beats, hooks and drops. The four members were signed when they were 14-16 years old, then moved into the company dorms where they trained fourteen hours a day, seven days a week (one day off every two weeks) for Six Years before they debuted in 2016. Both of their debut hits broke records and nearly every song since then has been a record breaker. Their music videos are jaw-droppers, using no green screen (except for one of their debut songs), all practical props, sets and effects. They are currently the most subscribed artist on KZbin with over 86.9 million subscribers and over 30 billion views on their channel. Six of their videos have over one billion views, one of which just passed two billion. So glad you’re getting into K-Pop more!! Another guy group that I think you’d REALLY really love is ‘Stray Kids’, they’re awesome (my fav songs you’ve got to check out: “God’s Menu”, then “Maniac”). Their vibe is just epic!! For another girl group, I love ‘Dreamcatcher’ (fav songs: ‘BEcause’, and ‘scream’). [I’m not like a super knowledgeable k-pop fan, so others may have more thoughts on what order to listen to songs!! I just know what songs I like the sound of :) ] Also just a thought in case it’s helpful - I’ve seen some other reactors who react to K-Pop watch videos twice through in the reaction to try and catch more! I'm an Army .. can't say I'm a blink becaused I don't know much about the group although I recognize each member y their main songs and I do like them, and off stage they seem very sweet... From what I have been able to appreciate in their songs, they talk mostly about female empowerment. The truth is that these girls have a tremendous presence on the scene, a lot of style, they sing and rap excellent and although they were born with talent... the kpop industry is rude, they usually go through years of training... I think at least two of them were like 5 or 6 years as trainees before debuting as a group... so my respects to them who have excelled in that world... If BTS si the #1 boy group, Blackpink are the #1 girl group. They have very catchy songs, special to put you in a very good mood I wish all the Kpop groups to be very successful, it's a very sacrificed world and all the artists work really hard, that's why I respect them all Keep reacting to these girls, surely you will like many of their songs, they have several very good ones. And definitely you should react to their live performances... so how we usually recommend that you react to BTS live, this girl group also stands out on the scene I will be aware of your reactions to these two groups. Yay BTS is my fav male group and BP is my fav female group!!! They are VERY different though. I listen to BTS for their musicality and art, while BP makes me wanna just scream girl power. I highly recommend other groups like Twice (I cant stop me), TXT (Sugar Rush Ride), Stray Kids (Venom or Thunderous), Le Serrafim (Fearless) and New Jeans (Hype Boy). You have to check out XG! They are Japanese girl group but promote their music in Korean market at the moment. Their songs are all in English and they do RNB style music or kind of old 1990-2000 music with modern flavor. All girls are super talented and event though they are super new group they have went viral already several times. They don't have a lot of songs yet but they are getting really popular, one of their songs were covered this year Coachella by Jackson Wang and Ciera. The song that was covered is their new song you should check out it is called "Left Right" They have KZbin challenge here you can also see Sypher of their Rap Line and separate Vocal performances they published before debuting. 💙 Their fandom is called Alphaz :)
