I Ran our Lister/Petter TR3 Diesel Generator out of fuel..now I have to bleed the fuel system..plus start it in our extreme cold weather. These engines are very easy to start. Hope you are enjoying my videos so far.

Hello Mike, thank you..an electric fuel pump sure saves on the battery for bleeding the fuel system. Thanks again. You have a great day.

Not surprised to see you’re 100% familiar with the diesel genny motor - looks like the oil filter is rusting - I didn’t know starter fluid has a bit of oil it - going to grab a can for future snow machine start ups. Thanks brother and cheers

Hello Ed. Yeah I've been around a few diesels in my day. Yeah..the filter has low hours on it..but it sat outside for years..the oil is actually low hours. Yup this starting fluid is the best for gasoline engines. Thanks again. You have a great day. Cheers!

Humn, once had to operate a Deutz 913? 3cyl 6"pump for new lift runoff. Great little engine/pump. Sadly a freak heavy rain got it🥲when put to use at the Temple,TX landfill. When it got another engine it would run okay for a little while, then act starved for fuel...🤨surging slowly in & out near idle. Turns out it had a vacuum leak from a dinged fuel pump cover....no gaskets on that cover. Well... I put an o ring under that cover & gasket around the mounting screw. Amazed me that that fuel pump Deutz installed was that well thought out👍 (the new)Lead operator had never seen the pump operate before it's reincarnation. HE was surprised after leaving it running over night ,after my 'fix'...

Hello Charles. Thanks..well done on the repair. Any place I've worked that had a diesel engine that had to run steady, I always replaced the mechanical fuel pump with an electrical one..some folks just did not have a clue how to bleed the fuel system, they would kill a starter or battery fast trying to start the engine once it ran out of fuel. Thanks again. You have a great evening. Cheers!

I Am REALLY Trying to find a generator set like that , Seems Very hard to find in Manitoba I have had a LOT of Smaller Diesel Engines , And lister petter engines , but never that size. Clear line sure makes it easy , And of course the Epump LOL! I kinda think... It's Time for an oil filter Change looking at that Filter LOL!! I have seen them start to leak when rusted that bad , dont want to loose the oil!
@cecilsshadetreegarage74085 ай бұрын
Hello, yeah they can be hard to find for sure. The electric pump is a game changer for sure.This oil filter only had 10 hours on it when I got it...but it sat outside since then. The filter only has surface rust on it..it's still very solid. Cheers!

Easy starting diesel . It was not that easy at the stone quarry . If you ran out of fuel , you could get fired .
@cecilsshadetreegarage74085 ай бұрын
Hello David. The bigger the engine the longer the fuel rails and lines are..plus the farther away the fuel tank is, way more air to purge..an electric fuel pump is the only way to go if there's a chance you may be running it out of fuel often, this was one of the reasons I converted this over to an electric fuel pump. Thanks again. You have a great day. Cheers!
