I think this KZbin channel does Dr. Iron Fists a massive disservice. He is a two time heavyweight champion who captured the belt for a second time after a four year layoff against the dangerous Samuel Peters. Plus to add to Dr. Klitschko’s stature, he is also the mayor of Kiev, Ukraine. Clearly a better advertisement of the WBC champion by the KZbin channel would have been apt.

I remember how methodical Morales when he fought pacquiao for the first time. He did not back away from every brawl in that fight and pacquaio doing all he can to score a knockdown but his technique was not enough almost like Morales was reading him. Pacquaio learned a lot from that fight and on the second time he was a different animal. I would say Morales is the best rival for him.

The funny part is people not good enough to fight professionally calling a boxer a quitter. 95% of these are a boxer knowing they are injured or beaten. Nothing wrong with they have had enough. The one like the guy leaving before the bell even rang....call him a quitter all you want.

I remember watching Italian Francesco Damiani fight in the ‘80/‘90s. Awkward but effective. Damiani was way ahead on the scorecards until Ray Mercer clocked him on the nose in their Jan 11 1991 WBO World Heavyweight fight. A must watch. Damiani quit immediately. I boxed for 3 months in high school. After each sparring session I got upgraded to a better, more experienced fighter. After my last round my sparring partner said he had a great session and wanted to spar with me again in two days time. I was bleeding, beat up and sore for days. I quit.

My thoughts too. Sure he could have made it more interesting by throwing some punches, but all it would have taken was one accidental clean shot to Lewis and the fight is over. And considering the era that fight took place in, I'd be willing to bet that's exactly what was going on.

Quitting is often the single most intelligent thing you can do. Why would you continue to subject yourself to damaging punishment for no good reason, once it becomes clear you are outmatched? To do otherwise might be deemed courageous by some, but how much pride would you gain from having continued to sustain blows leading to unnecessary brain trauma? It may in fact be far more courageous to quit, to suffer the shame and derision that you could avoid by stupidly fighting on. Being a warrior was once necessary, when people learned to fight to survive life-threatening combat. What is the point in being a 'warrior' if it leads you to keep on fighting, no matter the consequences to your health? What does this say about your priorities? Is such an attitude good for your family? Your children? People continue to die in the ring, often because of their determination to see a losing battle to its end. By cheering them on, and by shaming them for failing, we contribute to the unnecessary trauma and occasional death that continues to occur. Much of the industry continues to be corrupt, endorsing fights that should never be made, pitting elite fighters against hacks to ensure a good winning record is safely accrued.

Quitter - A person who gives up or does not have the courage or determination to finish a task. If you're quitting because of an injury, I understand. If you're giving up or quitting because you're scared and whatnot...then yeah, I can understand why some people would call them quitters or cowards.

I'm a Pacquiao fan but to say that Morales quit on that knockdown is ridiculous. He was down and groggy and seemed to wink towards his corner but actually that was his brain still scrambling after that Pacquiao punch. When he shook his head, he didn't mean that he wanted to quit, he shook his head in disgust, frustration in his inability to continue the fight. Morales have been to wars with Barrera and Marquez among many quitting is far from his character. Remember when he beat Pacquiao? He could have just stood back(since he was ahead in all scorecards) and wait for the final bell to ring but instead he went toe to toe with Pacquiao. Know your boxing, my friend.
