I was at his Carnegie Hall debut and it was astounding. He is the official "unsung hero" pianist only b/c he's not a KZbin sensation (the lowest bar, and yet . . . ) despite his extraordinary gifts.

What a bad pianist. He plays the fast passages in a totally unexpressive manner. He thinks Liszt is just a show-off. As Brendel said: "Anybody who thinks that Liszt is just for pure display better stay away from him."
