Thanks for this, do your lessons cover how to plan gps coordinetes and save them as missions on your computer first then deploy your drone later? I want to use litchi for other things to but the main thing is for hyperlapse I want to resume my hyperlapse in the exact same gps coordinete, gimble level and drone rotation from the last hyperlapse photo

First I want to say thank you for spending your time on the tutrals. But today I tried to run the leacth on the same Android device that I have DJI go4 on after I ran the go4 app. but I never could get it to connect even after I forced off my go4 app and know I have ever selected any app to be default. So what is wrong??? can you please help, by the way I have an Android tablet and a Mavic.

@SuperStrykerBoy7 жыл бұрын
Great vid my question how can I select home lock or course lock if I am in VR mode and the phone is inside the VR Google can switches be assigned from the controller.
@Sanuske47 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I don't think it is possible to access these options in VR mode. The only way I know to gain access to the screen whilst using your smart device in a VR headset is mirroring using HDMI. Example: Connect Nvidia Shield tablet, use HDMI port to mirror to a set of FPV goggles. Even then I am not sure the full functionality of the drone is available whilst using FPV. :< Thanks for watching.

I will test this out for you, but I do not believe so. Your device simply needs GPS and it was my impression that that was all Follow Me used but I could be incorrect.

Is there a RTH button on the screen? or just use the RC but that means must keep the RC with you at all times.

I am not certain how you'd fly without the RC anyways unless you own a Mavic Pro, but I believe with Litchi you must use the RTH button on the RC. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the Video! Question: I have a Phantom 4 / Phantom 4 Controller. I do not have an "F" mode. I have a "P" "S" and "A" Mode. Does the "P" mode function for the Phantom 4 like the "F" mode on the Phantom 3 Pro??? I know what the Modes are, but I have no "F" mode.
@OdysseusVrakas7 жыл бұрын
Charles Hatfield A mode is the same as S (sport) mode on the P4
@Sanuske47 жыл бұрын
P mode on the P4 is the same as P mode on the P3. Essentially this is your positioning mode, where it uses GPS and such to hold a steady position in the air. F mode is 'Function' mode on the Phantom 3, and it is how someone uses the intelligent flight modes on the P3 (orbit, follow me, etc.). It is likely that this was simplified for the P4 and you get to these functions by simply using the smart device display. As for the S and A mode, they are quite similar between the two models. A mode on the P3 shuts off GPS positioning and only uses auto-leveling and altitude hold. S mode on the P4 continues using the GPS positioning but instead shuts off the obstacle avoidance to fly at faster speeds. Hope this helped and thanks for watching.

What about calibration for Return To Home?
@Sanuske47 жыл бұрын
Not sure what you are referencing but compass should take care of that. As far as I know there is no 'Calibration' for the GPS system. Correctly done compass and flight controller calibrations should be more than sufficient. Thanks for watching.

Wot about FPV on a headset?
@matthewtrent5127 жыл бұрын
Hello, I noticed the screen had lots of lag... does that happen when using the app or just because you were screen recording? I have a p3s and have an arg tech antenna mod, would that help the lag? Thanks a lot
@Sanuske47 жыл бұрын
You're going to get break up with the FPV. But it is never a huge issue. The app definitely didn't help and likely made things worse. But outside of the occasional refresh on the screen it has never been bad enough to be distracting or hindering. This is of course assuming you pay attention to the signal indicator. Flying outside of the drone's range will of course make it worse.

Got a question....using a P3 Pro and I-pad Mini2, cannot get VPS to come up in settings, aircraft??Any thoughts?Using latest Litchi version. Thank's John

Wish I could help and I do apologize for the delayed reply. Getting used to YouT's changes to the notification system. Unfortunately nothing I can think of as I have used an Ipad Mini 2 with my P3 Advanced and not had any issue.
@johnpratt4967 жыл бұрын
Thank's for your response, Litchi sez it is for Mavic and P4 only.
@vitalityplays18347 жыл бұрын
does this app makes the drone return to home if we lose connection while flying fpv
@Sanuske47 жыл бұрын
Yes. I believe it has settings for lost signal behavior as with the regular app. However it will NOT do so in an unfinished way point mission. The quad will run through the entirety of your way point mission before checking for signal loss.
@timothy18372 жыл бұрын
is it really necessary to uninstall the original dji app the drone is using before installing litchi app?

Keeping in mind I have been out of the loop for this for a long time - that was never a necessity when I used it. Can have both installed on the same device.

I see that on previous versions you could screen record. I haven't been able to screen record. Did they removed this feature or I'm I missing something.
@Sanuske47 жыл бұрын
Are you on iOS? If memory serves correct (and I could be wrong), that feature is only available to iOS devices. I will forewarn you when I tried it on my ipad mini 2 it made the FPV feed lag severely and reduced the operating range of the quad a great deal.

Phantom should not be landed off in the Terrain kind of surface as I can see gravels than can damage camera along with gimbal! Bdw nice explanatory video
@Sanuske46 жыл бұрын
Landing options are fairly limited here and you're right! It can kick up dust and such although I never experienced any issues with my P3 (fortunately). Thanks for watching.
@danielp47707 жыл бұрын
theres no landing option? what to you press to make it land....or do you land it on your own? i want litchi but not gonna bother if you cant land it when you want....someone told me it does hard landings, as to dji go app does nice and easy/soft landings. am i missing something?
@Sanuske47 жыл бұрын
There is no landing button, although this might vary depending on what drone you are connected with. I generally always land manually myself, so it never proved an issue for me.
@danielp47707 жыл бұрын
so when you land yourself, is it a hard landing and skips till it realizes its on the ground?? im used to dji go where it does a nice and soft landing....explain the procedure if you would. you just hold the joystick down till it (hopefully) lightly touches the ground and it knows to stay there? ive got the p3s
@wesjett20087 жыл бұрын
Yeah you can just slowly hold down on the stick until it comes to rest on the ground. Pull a hard down to shut off the motors once on the ground.
@Sanuske47 жыл бұрын
Apologies for the late reply but Wes is correct. For the Phantom 3 series you can manually land yourself, although perhaps you've mastered that skill by this point! Anyways, it can be a little sketchy at first; but if you pick good, flat landing spots and are patient then it isn't difficult. Once the skids are down hold down on throttle and motors will turn off.
@walterego23147 жыл бұрын
the plastic feet you clip on to your landing gear actually work. You can get them on EBay (£3.00 ones are the same as the £25 ones as far as I can tell, they are what I have anyway)

how do u playback video or see pics,, there isn't a playback on the screen
@Sanuske47 жыл бұрын
I don't think this is supported within Litchi, but if it were I'd imagine it would require one of the controllers with a playback button.
@FadilAziz716 жыл бұрын
Where is the RTH button? in Dji Go it usually resides on the left screen.
@Sanuske46 жыл бұрын
I think you need to use the hardware button on the controller. I assume it shows something up for Phantom 3 Standards but truth be told I don't have one to test.
@FadilAziz716 жыл бұрын
Yah I think we have to wait for that button to appear :) meanwhile have to use that hardware button you suggested. It is helpful. Usually after completing certain shoot, we call back our bird using that button (usually on the screen).

in all settings? DJI P4Pro?
@Sanuske46 жыл бұрын
As far as I know it has the same capabilities as the default DJI Go app when it comes to obstacle avoidance. So the obstacle avoidance sensors are going to act as they would if you were flying the drone through DJI Go. I don't think it adds MORE capability to them but you don't lose any either.

First part of your video is black, no problems your audio is working , no one explain how you control the screen whenever you please the android in goggle , are you using remote pad?
@Sanuske46 жыл бұрын
The video not being present was the issue. As to your question, I am uncertain if there is a way to accomplish this! The only way I would think is to use a tablet with mini-HDMI (as the Nvidia Shield) and mirror it to a pair of FPV goggles. Then you could use the tablet to control it. As for me, I bought one of those cheap VR headsets and slid my phone in the one time I tried FPV. I had to ensure everything was setup prior to take off because I couldn't do much past slipping the goggles on. Thanks for taking the time to watch!

When I press Return to Home, my Inspire 1 Pro just lands, even when far away from my controller. How can I make it to return home and not just land???

Maybe something in the RTH settings? I am sure you've checked that. Outside of it I am unsure. Mine has always behaved as I set into Litchi, and I have never owned an Inspire.

wow. rth way off from home point, not like dji go app at all.
@Sanuske46 жыл бұрын
This has very little to do with the application, and more with the GPS stability/compass calibration of the drone in the area it is flying. You will get mostly different results when traveling from areas of low interference to high interference, and the area this was shot in was the latter. There are assistants to this of course, such as the Vision Positioning System. But the VPSes on the old P3s were not nearly as effective as those on newer DJI models.

Well I certainly didn't think I'd be legally liable in any case, but let's be real.. People are pretty crazy these days and like trying to start trouble. So it's less thinking a lot of myself and just safe guarding in the hopes of deterring the crazies before they say anything.
