In lesson 3 we go over the main settings within the Litchi app. Hope you all enjoy and thanks for watching. :)

I have used Lichi in the past and really think it's very useful. But I haven't flown in almot a year and your Lichi Tutorials were great for getting back what I forgot. It saved me a great deal of time. Nice job on the tutorials

Very likely, but it is also probably a giant pain and I have not attempted it yet! I'd suspect if a way exists, it might require in-depth software or even hardware modification.

Great tutorials. I've watched all three as I just downloaded the Litchi app. One question... what type of device are you using? I noticed that you had several options on your menus that I didn't, and I had an option on mine that you didn't cover. I'm using an iPhone, and am wondering if that might be the difference. The option that I had that you didn't is under the Camera tab and is labeled Hardware Decoding. Try as I might I cannot figure out what this does and what the advantage to using it might or might not be. Thanks again for the time and effort you put into the videos as they've been tremendously helpful!!
@Sanuske47 жыл бұрын
I am using a Galaxy Note 5. The key difference is the Operating Systems.. There are some subtle differences like this between the iOS and Android apps, although I don't think any of them are different enough to invalidate the tutorial for one side or the other. I actually recently purchased an iPad Mini 2 for use with my phantom, so when I get back to these the UI will look more familiar to you. Thanks for taking the time out to watch. :)

Thank you for the great video.... it has sold me on Litchi... I do have one question. Is it possible to have the telemetry info embedded into the video ? I saw a video (can't remember where) and the video had all that info in the video. Thank you very much.... Excellent Excellent Video. Have a good one, Steve
@Sanuske47 жыл бұрын
Not from the app alone. The easiest method to overlay telemetry is by using dash ware. Just do a search for dash ward phantom. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.

Is there zooming option in litchi like DJI fly app (I use Mini 2)?
@jimbuxton24367 жыл бұрын
Great videos! Your settings menus include more options then mine. I'm wondering if the aircraft firmware version may be the reason. I am using very old firmware on my P3p, 1.5.03 to be exact, but am running the latest version of Litchi, 1.17. Listing your aircraft firmware version may shed some light on the issue. Thank you for your very informative and well produced videos.
@Sanuske47 жыл бұрын
I wish I could but I sold the P3A a while back. I think I was keeping the firmware on the quad its self up to date though, so if I could find the latest around this date I could tell you what it likely was. Either way thank you for taking the time to watch. On a side note while I can't tell you with 100% certainty, I feel like the firmware version of the quad would NOT affect the app in this way. And that the version of the app would be far more crucial to what options appear.

Great video! I wanted to know the maximum distance achieved with litchi app with a stock RC for DJI P3S. Thank You in Advance
@Sanuske47 жыл бұрын
I am not sure if you will find a huge distance difference between this and DJI Go. The point more is the advanced features and the different way it handles certain features (such as not having to pre-fly a waypoint mission). Thanks for taking the time to watch.

Great video! I have version 1.174 for an iPad & Mavic Pro and the settings page is totally different than what you show. Many of the settings are not in my list. In particular I want to program functions into the 5D joystick. The help file says that can be done but I don't see the place to set them in the settings.
@Sanuske47 жыл бұрын
I wish I could help. I recently got a Mavic myself but have not tested Litchi on it. I will go check it out and if I get anything better for you will reply here. Either way thank you for watching.
@bhuns577 жыл бұрын
Thank you for responding. The format of the settings screen is different and that did not bother me. It bothered me that I could not find where to make the settings. What I did not know is that the settings could not be done before the controller and the aircraft were turned on and connected. Once I turned them on and connected them to my iPad, the 5D button settings options appeared on the list. Sorry for the confusion. Simple rule, turn everything on before you make the settings.

Thanks so much for these tutorials! Any idea why my menu screen looks nothing like yours. It's totally different. I just downloaded the app yesterday.
@Sanuske47 жыл бұрын
These tutorials are getting a bit dates at this point. Between the fact I was using a Phantom 3 Advanced (and you might be using a more recent quad) and updates to the app, I'd suspect that makes up the difference. If you are using ios that will also look different. Thanks for watching.
@conyersfamily7 жыл бұрын
Yep, I figured that out. I'm on IOS and you're on Android. That's the difference. Thank you!!

@Sanuske47 жыл бұрын
I haven't a clue! But with these sorts of things it could be many malfunctions outside of Litchi. I am not defending the application. I didn't create it. But with these types of things there is a lot that can go wrong, and usually all it takes is one thing going wrong to lose the drone completely.
@truthseekers6667 жыл бұрын
Ive just started using this app and was shocked and dissapointed that there is no settings for things like expo or yaw limit... so yaw is way over sensitive like in the go app. you cant even touch the sticks on the Phantom3 without it veering off like a crack addict on speed! Am i missing something or do the people who make Litchi not consider slowing down the yaw an important feature? Any help appreciated.
@Sanuske47 жыл бұрын
I'm unsure and will have to do some testing on this. I'd think whatever settings you put into DJI Go on your last flight would remain and you simply wouldn't be able to continue changing them on the fly, but I could be wrong on this. Thanks for taking the time to watch though.
@truthseekers6667 жыл бұрын
I think im going to end up doing a hardware hack to manually limit with resistors on a toggle in out switch. The yaw must be tamed ;-)
@dk997457 жыл бұрын
truthseekers666 I just extended (twist the knob to loosen and it will rise on the RC) then set and lock with the bottom screw. This tames the yaw dramatically. I have. Phantom 3 Standard and worked like a charm. No more jitters.

Just a question. How many time, on average, do you say in a day: "basically" and "essentially" with an hypnotic-attitude-voice? Have you recorded, do you have some funny data also about this?
@Sanuske47 жыл бұрын
Less time than it took you to post this comment.
@claudiocosterni64887 жыл бұрын
Oops! ... sorry Husky-Flies, I was thinking how many times, not how long. So, the number of times in a day. Maybe 100 x, 1000 x, or basically a lot more?
@DebtDumper6 жыл бұрын
Basically I feel a hypnotic voice is essential when producing any good tutorial....this basically takes out the element of editorial inference that can distract from the subject matter that is being conveyed for educational purposes. Husky-Flies presentation style is perfect for relaying information on the subject that is being covered. The viewer does not have to filter out opinion from the essential information being conveyed. If a viewer already is an expert on subject, the fast forward and next video buttons are readily available for use. Based on comments he is receiving, viewers are very appreciative of the content, time, and presentation style of the executive producer of the series. Basically if it is essential for a viewer to get a warm fuzzy feeling when watching a video , then my I recommend, product backed sales oriented type presentations. The smoke being blown can give the feeling of "Better than sliced bread" I have to get 2 of them or " Only driven to church on Sundays" (Great job Husky-Flier! Mom)

what is the difference between P_GPS and F_GPS?
@Sanuske47 жыл бұрын
P_GPS stands for Positioning with GPS. Sometimes it will also say P_VPS which means it has lost GPS/satellite signal and is using the Vision Positioning System to position its self. Positioning swaps between both to keep the quad stable. F_GPS stands for Function_GPS. It is the 'F' position of the switch and must be turned to this mode before you can use intelligent flight modes (such as orbit/waypoints/etc). Hope this helped. Thanks for watching.
