quieter not sure.. my neighbour as an ID4 and I can hear him start his car in winter (all home windows closed) and also when he leaves and arrives. And when he had an F150, I had no clue (could not hear him) he was leaving, arriving or starting it. Probably because the F150 made a low pitch sound and the ID4 makes a high pitch sound. Having tinitus may not help. I also find myself having to block my ears when some EVs go by me in parking lots.. This is not to rant, just an observation and an annoyance on my ears. I am probably not alone, with tinnitus, that has that problem with EVs. Like tesla's make a high pitch sound when they back up (model 3 mostly that I heard).

I added electric vehicles to the movie Gattaca. Gradually, the thundering dragsters are leaving our streets, one day to become completely extinct. Entire cities will become quieter and more livable, reducing anxiety and stress on the human population.

@@nicholsonscience6229 many people cannot stand silence. That is why they always need to have a TV or radio or other sound around at home or in their car. In my extended family, 99% are like that. The only sound I really like is a car's engine with a manual transmission which has a sound that matches the gears. Not like an automatic which I cannot stand and is really boring to drive and at low speeds, complicated compared to a manual. Goes to show that we are all different and electric cars do not fit everyone.
