I always thought that Psychics were a cool archtype. I could never get them to work competitively, but they were cool, nonetheless.

Psychics looked way better this time around. They have some really unconventional floating effects, and I have seen like none of these cards before in my life. Grandsoil is just a whoah card when it's dropped, destroys most decks immediately. The double grandsoil play was savage. Yes, it was against perhaps the weakest deck in the whole cup, but still a good showing. Next match, Moncarch vs Lunalight. Super interesting. Lunalight's azzathot lockout should wreck monarch, but we will see. They should be far more consistent, versatile, and grindy - however, Monarch has them beat in raw power. It will take a lot of luck and no bricks, but Monarch can probably take one or two.

Not too surprising with today's match. Having played Battle Pack format before, I can definitely say that Gorz was a beast back in the day. I'm going Lunalight 3-2 in the next match. Extra Deck Monarchs were a decent counter against True Draco, but they will likely have issues against a more recent deck like Lunalights.

Lunalight Orcust 3-1 over ED Monarchs. Boards are stronger, and it's more consistent.

@MrJ Ghostbell uh, you obviously didn't pay much attention to the latest match. Lunalight had horrible luck with Mills of of curious and banishes off of gizmek. Plus, saying that the only hope for a deck to win is if one of the brickiest decks ever bricks is dumb. And Monarch only won game two because of Maxx C. Lunalight has far more power due to crescendo, imperial order, and a powerful suite of rank 4's, not to mention it's ability to play through every handtrap with the exception of Maxx c. Lithium won because he's one of, if not the, best monarch players, and because his opponent was extremely unlucky.
