Lowell is playing percussion and slide simultaneously...unreal! Freakin monster talent gone too soon.
@mcmike1005 ай бұрын
No he's not. When he's playing cowbell, Paul Barrere is playing slide. Paul played slide on a number of Little Feat songs including Dixie Chicken. He's a pretty good slide player with a different style than Lowell George. Look at 0:05. You can see his slide.

Saw the original Feat in 1977 at the Orpheum in Boston back in my college days. Lowell George was a great talent but the full sound of these musicians collectively as Little feat was just astounding.It was the "Time Loves a Hero Tour" and I'm so glad I saw them live before Lowell passed--another meteoric talent who burned away way too soon, but left a bevy of music that is still current in execution and delightful in its lyrics.

And amazing how they were musicians for musicians too, otherwise they'd long ago been in the Hall of Fame. Then again, who needs them to say what was good.

What rhythm and blues and vocals. Great mixers of music and ideas.

So unique sounding, with well written songs. The band is super tight live and I’m constantly blown away by them
How long have you been playing drums? Richie- " about 8 feet"

What a big shame that they are not in the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame WTF? They do have lowell George’s tour jacket and iconic Strat in there. But the band is not I don’t know why.
@lisafox10018 күн бұрын
Seriously, why are they not in the r&r hall of fame? Maybe they were too bluesy/funky?

LOL!!! LOL!!!!! Are you serious??! That information makes this song even more hilarious, and I already loved it 😂 Kinda adds the missing link to understanding the story they are telling, and for me, now everything makes sense 😂😂😂 Thank you so much for sharing that.... Lowell was brilliant!

I think the story goes, they did have a show the night before and the only time they could film them the next day was early in the morning so they were all going on a few hours sleep, maybe none at all

Black cop from Barney Miller on bass. Damn good too. What a great band so freaking underrated I wish I got it back then I was all consumed with everything Zeppelin and Sabbath.
@DaveBassTrekker2 жыл бұрын
Bass player is a guy named Kenny Gradney, from Baton Rouge. Barney Miller character was played by a near doppelganger name of Ron Glass, from Evansville, Indiana.
