Little Feat was and is the greatest American band of all time! There is no other band that was able to put together (pretty much) the all-American music genres into its music better than LF. Lowell George is a long time gone, Richard Hayward and Paul Barrere passed away too, but still, Little Feat is a great, great band!

Those expecting Lowell George Little Feat...well, he's not with us any longer, hasn't been for quite a long time. The original members of Feat owe it to themselves to follow their own path, their own music. You either appreciate the band for the music that they have chosen to make, or you don't -- possibly because you want them to make the music that *you* want them to make. If a band has evolved, I try to enjoy the music they have chosen to share with me; most often they succeed, sometimes they don't and I walk away from that particular album.

Lowell will always be with us whether you move forward or stand still in the mud. He left an indelible mark to strive for, and "oh, did he ever love pure music!" WORDS & MUSIC, WORDS & MUSIC.

This is one of the best music videos I've ever seen. The audio and video match perfectly. A really uplifting message at a time when things can still seem so dire. Bill Payne has written some great songs over the years. This one reminds me of Under the Radar from 1997. My one quibble with this one is that Scott Sharrard's slide guitar part is too low in the mix. The late great Paul Barrere played absolutely gorgeous slide on Under the Radar, both in the studio original and live. Scott plays well here from what I can tell, it's just not loud enough.

I don't understand the criticism or the occasional implication that this is country music or mush, or whatever. I think it's amazing. But of course everyone's entitled to their opinions. And the people I know who loved Feat for so long (as I did) love this new song. It's very uplifting, which we need right now, and beautiful, and musically interesting, including Scott's slide guitar. And I love the incorporation of Bill Payne's photography.

Agreed. In my opinion, they should rename their band of this is what they are going to play. This is the equivalent of something Kenny Chesney would sing. Where is the music?

There can't be a bigger Feat fan than I....and, I'm here to tell ya these Feat stink! An utter and complete sell out to the adult contemporary country genre that seems to be over growing the music world like Kudzu. Formulaic with trite lyrics and 'sweetened' vocals! If this is da new Feat...you can have 'em!

@@donnieshoaf sorry buddy....but that's what makes all music so great ! We can agree or disagree on what's good, what we like/enjoy or not. I am sure that you like/dislike songs that others would disagree with but that wouldn't change how you felt about the song. I imagine you are a bit younger than I and can't remember what it was like when Lowell George and the boys arrived on the scene 50 years ago. Their style and performance was incredibly unique. This song 'When All Boats Rise' is not incredibly unique and is miles away from from this band started. Jus' sayin...glad you are a Feat Fan, tho!

@@donnieshoaf I just read you response today as I returned to the vid to give it another listen....I didn't realize that a response has a shelf life. All I was trying to do was explain the greatness of music is that people can disagree on a song. You have that right as do I....at any time.
