Wow, the devil is in the details for sure! Fixing the casting blemishes all smoothed out with the orange really makes it pop. Definitely a handsome wrench!

Yes, I would like that wrench in my collection. It's a beauty with the orange paint, and your cleanup was great. I think Pipes wants to go to the Poor Man's Flea Market. He is as amazed at some of your finds as I am. Thanks for caring for the little pets.

Beautiful cats John, I get that they weren't planned or wanted, but there they are--I'm so glad they have you to take care of them. Thanks for showing that trick with the brush and the paint--I've had that happen plenty where I didn't want to buy a bunch of paint to brush on. The Greenfield wrench came out awesome and what a cool tool!

Very good looking wrench after you cleaned it up. I think it would look a bit nicer if you painted the little triangle area by the teeth since you painted everywhere else that had that rough metal left.

That pipe wrench came out looking very nice, like the paint technique, excellent clean up. You gave a couple good tips I plan trying them out. Thanks for the video sir. Your Kitty sure likes you, you can tell it by the way he approaches you, happy little feller.

OMG those cats are adorable, and that’s coming from a dog guy. Beautiful job on that wrench Scout. I often wonder when blokes were stamping these out, did they ever consider what would happen to them or would they be surprised that they’re still around 100 years later. I’m sure they would be wondering what sort of maniac would be restoring them. As a practical joker boy I could have some fun with that wrench, telling an apprentice plumber that it’s reversible but you have to take it apart and put the jaws on the other way to undo with it. 😂😂😂. Cheers mate, Stuart 🇦🇺

The pipe wrench looks terrific. Very well done. Interesting about the wonky factory lettering. The colour looks more like ScoutCrafter red, likely the camera not doing justice to the actual colour. Dave.

Great information on how to keep those little paint 🎨 brushes clean. That Comet is some great stuff to have around. I use that stuff quite a bit 👍. I like that paint color you chose for the pipe 🔧 wrench 🟧, it is almost Close to the Ridgid paint scheme. Was the top of the movable jaw tricky to fix that chip out place it had in it?? Great shot of Old Glory 🇺🇸 flying in the breeze with that night scene of the 🌃 city. Well again great video and can’t wait to see what you do on Friday. Have a great night! 😃👍👍

It seems like feral cats are everywhere now! I woke up the other day to see a kitten sleeping in my dogs bed in my kitchen. It wasn’t my kitten, and I’ve never seen it before. We have a pet door, and I guess this kitten wandered in to eat the dogs food and fell asleep in the dog bed. I took that cat to the vet the next week, gave him all his shots and named him Ted. He is the coolest freaking cat I’ve ever seen. He has no fear and is the most loving, affectionate cat I’ve ever seen in my life. I’m glad you love cats as much as I do John.

Nice job on the wrench and red is always a favorite. I use to live in the city and we had many neighborhood cats walking around. But now I live in the country suburbs and there are no cats anywhere. Probably because there are more predators.

I do want to ask you about the translucent paint you use on some of your projects. I went looking for some at hobby lobby and couldn’t find it. Where do you get that paint that you can see through? Hey John - Do you run your wire wheels @ 3500 or 1750 speed? Curious to hear your thoughts on buffer/grinder speeds - Cheers Jordan
@ScoutCrafter Жыл бұрын
Hi Jordan- I prefer a slower RPM and a larger size wheel- If running 3600 rpm a 4” wheel is good but at 1750 a 6 or 8” wheel is better. My setup is 6” with 1750rpm. The 3600 is faster but more stressful to work in front of. 🫣😂👍
