An animal definitely shows that it is loved. There was a story about an Alligator named Pacho who was saved by a man in the jungles and that alligator became his friend for 20 years. They’d swim together in the water and even snuggle face to face. It is a really great story.

People already putting their two cents in.. heres mine, 20 years experience. Supervision is key with large snakes. Its not so much the disposition of the animal that is a threat to the owner but the sheer mass and strength. Assuming the father watches over the child as he should in every other scenario, theres no problem. The animal should know the difference between feeding time and handling time, they can be taught that much. Beyond that its simple responsibility of the owner to recognise when the animal is becoming too much to physically handle, and a second set of hands is always required with snakes over 10 feet just to help remove them when they become too much for a single individual to wrestle with. They are not trying to strangle you, they are just very big and very strong animals.

@@CATSFOREVER308 and where is your experience? Clearly you have none as you speak from ignorance. "They're wild animals"... until they are domesticated as with any animal, from generations of captive breeding and can be predictable if you know how to read their body language. There used to be an Army Surplus store where we lived and I met a nice young man there who kept Pythons there. He taught me quite a bit about them. I am really more of a Boa person. One day, when I was working at the local Death House, aka Animal Humane Society, a python was turned in. The head honcho hated snakes and wanted to kill it. He and the head kennel worker were discussing ways to "humanely" kill it, including putting it in the freezer! I called the young man and he really wanted to save it. The director stil wanted to kill it. I ended up in his office insisting that he call the young man, who eventually was allowed to adopt it. It was a Reticulated Python and he was so happy to get it. :) Back in the day, my brother kept Boas. He gave one of his to Alice Cooper! One of his ended up in the vents of the apartment. Every once in a while, he would toss a rat in there. Then, one day, the snake came back out. :) Blessings for standing up for these guys!

In the right hands of course. This young man definitely has the right hands and I have loved watching his daughter grow up with these beautiful pythons. I quit making videos a long time ago because I don't have patience for the comment section. They both seem to really enjoy and like her. They are not stressed out. They are looking and crawling over her and she is never left alone with them. That’s the danger. He knows what he is doing. He made sure they were tame and handled every day. She doesn’t feed them. The horror stories come from snakes getting out and going into cribs or taking pets. That’s not going to happen as long as he’s there. He would never put his daughter in danger. My vet had a 200 pound python that grew up with his children. He kept her at the clinic but the kids handed it all the time. By the. Time the kids were grown the snake was humongous. It’s good to see this. Oh. My vet also had a lion named Radar.

Amazing retics but animals of that size can be dangerous. Thats not to say that they will bite and attack or whatever. But if one of them decides to it could result in death. I am a boa breeder and have had burms, anacondas etc. Burms can make great pets. But a animal past 10ft will easily overpower a kid. One at 14ft+ could overpower a man and a little kid. I know plenty of breeders who breed/ keep bigger animals like burms and retics and they won't interact with them unless they have another man with them. Snakes are extremely intelligent and so misunderstood. But animals that reach 10ft plus can be a problem.

Missing from this video (which is why I couldn't "like" it,) is whether these snakes are in their normal environment and not in an environment where they would be invasive and destorying all native wildlife. Yes, it's geat that you treat these snakes well, but large animals like this should never be allowed to be sold in pet shops as "pets" without the "buyers" knowing how large they grow, what they need to eat, what their natural environments demand, and why they don't belong in areas to which they are not native.
