This video is proof that Little Jimmy Dickens was not only a great performer, but he was America's Troubadour. Nobody could sell a song like LJD. Willie Nelson carries on this tradition today. All of us are better off for his having been here. Thanks for posting.

This song is great and a classic. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but answer this honestly; if you think he can't sing, try doing it for as long as he did and atvthe age he did this. One of his strongest vocals I had heard from him came on December 20, 2014, his last performance at the Opry. His voice was very strong and clear as if he knew it was going to be his time on stage. What a fantastic man and such a sweet and beloved individual. I cherish the memory of having met and spoke with him. I revere it even more now, knowing I will never have the chance to meet with him again unless God saves a place for me in heaven.

My words exactly Robert. Jimmy was as genuine as you could want. Sang from the heart and soul of the country music era that is slowly disappearing. No one can condemn the man for anything. He was a true legend that will always live in our hearts in Canada.
