I was thinking that using Minecraft for backgrounds was really weird, especially with those strange character models, but it seems to oddly fit all together. This is a sentiment I see often. If you continue to watch this series, RBG Dreams Minecraft, and the Spaceship Genius series you will see the RatboyGenius is honestly one of the greatest creators on this entire platform. His music is absolutely incredible and his stories are truly captivating. The 3D models are very unique, yes, but they also have a charm that you do not find in any other animation or cartoon. He is one of a kind and he deserves the recognition for being as amazing as he is.

I was amazed when I saw this series for the first time and I loved the amount of character development he gets in this and how resourceful and tenacious he was, but then I watched RBGDMC and I hated the way he was an unlikable jerk who had no reason to be a jerk. Once you watch this series you get a way better understanding of who Little King John is as a person and I absolutely love his fearless, brave, etc. personality. potato knishes

I think the simplest answer is that after RBG dreamed about LKJ, he turned him into a character for his stories, just like Happyman and the Red Planet (except for the fact that Happyman is a real person, but an actor in that series)

LKJ may be a sociopath in the most clinical sense, showing zero empathy for others unless it's for his own gain, but I must admit, his confidence is inspiring. He basically just said "welp there goes my whole kingdom and the entire world as I know it, but obviously I've gotta keep going, because I am ME". And I must also admit, he is full of catchy music.

As stupid as it sounds, this series is art, the purest art, even without having beautiful visuals it is a completely beautiful work, its music, its story, I love how King John can look like an egocentric, But in adversity, this is seen as someone who works hard to overcome it, besides the (Spoiler) Plot Twist is really interesting, epic, and much more, this series is very good, I regret that it has not been given the recognition it deserves, in addition to being so young, I could not enjoy this masterpiece, since I was born in 2010, but I have known it today, yesterday or 6 years ago, it would still be just as good, my 10 points.

Wild baseless theory #1: Little King John's kingdom flooded because Ratboy Genius had woken up, thus erasing the dream world he created. Because Little King John is representative of the darker parts of Ratboy's subconscious and his inner fears over what he could become, he is not so easily expelled from Ratboy's mind. The next few chapters will revolve around Little King John (and by extension the Ratboy Genius) reflecting on his life and confronting the less savoury aspects of his personality, when faced with the destruction of his precious kingdom and almost everything else he possessed.

No but fr I really want to talk about what an inspiration this is for me. I've been writing a webcomic for a couple years now and feel very insecure about my art. I often worry about how people will think what I draw is ugly and turn away. But I discovered this series a couple days ago and this first episode alone really moved me. The visuals aren't exactly the best, sure, but the music is so beautiful and the entire thing is so atmospheric that it proves that art is so much more than what is on the surface. I love this so much.
