I love the 1936 version. 1995 version was good. I just finished watching another version. Which is the original version. The 1921 , which has actress Mary Pickford playing Ceddie and Dearest. I changed the speed of the movie to 0.75x. Very enjoyable. The 1980 version I wasn't able to load down. Stay safe Greetings from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷

Well, I must say that this must have been a very difficult task to put together a mini series after the great success of 1980 which I loved very much. But I congratulate little Michael Benz for his wonderful acting. Would I not have known the 1980s version I`d like this one even more. All actors are well chosen and it`s nice to combine all versions in one`s head. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR SHARING :))

I don't like the actors they've chosen for this version of "Little Lord Fauntleroy", but I haven't seen this film but once - I love the 1936 & 1980 versions and have seen them numerous times - thank you to whoever posted those.

I do either applicate the intire gruppi of cinematographic movies made for the extended audience. It's an evergreen storia, very adequate even nowdays. It's delicate and polite, for every mate and crowd, of course. Xxxxxxxxx ❤

I just re-read the book and thought I would try to find any videos from the version I saw as a child. My book is the BBC publication that went with the mini series. It has made me feel very old to find out it was from 1995! I had no idea the adaptation was by Julian Fellows. Would love to see a newer adaptation which is a bit truer to the book. Even in this clip there's a lot that is different from the book e.g. Mrs Errol always wore black as she never stopped mourning her husband. Mr Hobbs was a staunch Republican. The Errol's had a house in New York. I understand the need to age up Ceddie, although a newer version might be able to cast an actor who looks a bit closer in age to the character.

Yeah, if you were a middle-class (or upper middle-class) person, life could be pretty sweet back then, but for the most part, you'd be toiling for 14 hours a day just to make ends meet. People had to fight long and hard (with many dying in the process) to get the leisurely 8 hour work day that many people enjoy today, along with all the benefits. Living back then was harder than it was today. Still, like I said, middle-class lifestyles were very good.

I'm not going to watch it. The boy actor is dressed up in a blond wig to make him cute and he's too old for the part . This production is a remake of the TV Little House on the Prairie. You like that crap help yourself . No don't watch it . Watch the 1936 one where the boy actor is not manicured with fake cutness

I think it would have been hard for a boy of 7 to accomplish all the mature things in the story. I have watched them all and by far the best movie is the 1936 version with Freddie Bartholomew and he is portrayed as 9 in the movie and a proper young gentleman.. while the grandfather is a bit rough typical of foreign wars veterans from India at the time. the later versions were longer movies but lacking in original quality. I like the 1980 Ricky Schroeder version the least, but it is the only one showing Cedie putting a crippled boy on his pony. There is an underlying theme in this book often overlooked.. that of the ability of blind trust and confidence by a boy changing everyone around him. I am reaching here but I would say Cedie is the messiah and little Jesus figure in this novel who brings redemption to the struggling adults around him.

In the 1980 version, Ricky Scroder did a pretty good job, and looked stunning (although he tried too hard to play a convincing New Yorker. Guinness was great as the Earl. Connie Booth was terribly miscast as Mrs. Errol.

Good grief, what an incredible miscast. This movie isn't so bad at all (because of the original book). But some of the actors are definitely not worth/able playing this classic. The 1980 version with Ricky Schroder (and the great unbeatable Sir Alec Guinness) is the one and only. At least in my opinion respectively my personal kind of taste. Nevertheless: Thanks a lot for uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and health.

I don't know why every film version of this I've seen changes Mr. Hobb's and Ceddie's political allegiances from Republican to Democrat. If you read the original book, they're both Republicans. I guess it's an indicator of the politics of the people filming them, huh? Or maybe it was a copyright issue?
