I love this music. I grew up listening to this kind of music. My daddy was a blues singer. He played guitar by ear also. His name is Mance Lipscomb from Navasota, Texas

Not only was he a blues guitar player but had a great blues voice and probably never got all the credit he was due. He is missed.

This was the best virtual concert and I truly "ENJOYED" it. His knee was hurting something awful. Never knew from his performance tho. He kept rubbing it. How do I know? Been there. RIP n Soul Heaven.

Jesus Christ this makes me so sad I want to cry.. All these guys (Little Milton, Ray Charles, Bobby Bland, etc) are gone. I only had the pleasure of seeing Milton once, at the 1991 Sacramento Blues Festival.

Them people act like they are Blues enthusiasts and connoisseurs BUT CAN'T EVEN CLAP ON BEAT. The musicians keep having to show them how to clap on beat. A WHITE musician, Harry Connick, Jr., had to change the music around at one of his concerts so they could clap on the right beat. But my thing is, HOW are you genuinely enjoying the music IF YOU CAN'T HEAR/FIND THE BEAT??? That makes no sense to me at all.

I searched the internet and could not find one rule or regulation that stated you had to clap on the beat, only that you should enjoy the music. If a person listens to Opera or Classical music, it's not for the beat. Based on the makeup of the crowd and a festival in Maine, they APPRECIATE the Blues whether they clap on the beat or not. It makes no sense to you because you don't understand people or music.
