Oh, but fun fact: the Japanese character on X-eyed Taka's (one of the two versions of Kiyotaka drawn with white lineart and a black background) armband translates to shame, disgrace, dishonor, and stigma, amongst other things. The meanings work very well for what he's supposed to represent.

fun fact, Ishimaru's Japanese talent translates to "Super duper highschool perfection" so in a way, he is the little Mr perfect

??? No it doesn’t??? Ishimaru’s talent is 超高校級の「風紀委員」. 「風紀」 translates to “public morals/discipline”, whereas 「委員」translates to “commitee member”, thus making the direct translation “super high school level public morals committee member”/ “disciplinary commitee”. The role of said committee is to “preserve a proper learning environment and enforce school rules” (i.e. making sure students properly wear their uniforms). This isn’t really common in the West, so for the English localisation they used the term “Moral Compass” (not the best translation, but I digress). Other translations include Hall Monitor, Prefect, School/Discipline Monitor/Disciplinarian and “Rule-Abiding”. There’s nothing in the original or in the translations about “Perfection”??
