do you think a group of 5 people can realistically feel warmth when huddled around this?

I have a 2 year old and a wife who is 20 weeks pregnant with baby number 2. I love camping and hiking and generally anything outdoors, and your channel is awesome, especially due to needing to adapt my camping routines for my kid(s). Keep it up!

Is there a fix for how noisy the gas sound s flowing into the unit ?
@WastingTimeInTheWoods2 жыл бұрын
A decade or so of punk concerts seems to have fixed it for me.

I bought one of those large and heavy lava pits for summer overlanding trips. This is better in many ways.

Was the pound per hour on high or low?

We generally run it on medium. When you turn it up real high it gets kind of noisy and if it was that cold I’d probably just go to bed :-)

I just got mine in the mail and haven't tired it yet but it looks solid enough........ .except the really crappy clamps. Boy they blew it there. They are so cheap I can see losing them very soon. One of them is bent and already has fallen off. Otherwise, I think I will enjoy it and as much as they aren't as nice as a real fire, its the sign of the times.

Thanks, Mark. Glad I'm not the only one that can't seem to figure the latches out. There's got to be a more robust version somewhere that we can retrofit...

After using it how long do you have to wait before you can wrap the propane hose back up underneath? Can you do it right away as that area doesn't get hot or do you have to wait for everything to cool?
@WastingTimeInTheWoods2 жыл бұрын
Not too long, maybe 5-10 minutes? We run it with breakfast on occasion and then pack up not too long after. The steel is about 1/16" so it's plenty strong enough not to bend but not so thick it's heavy or maintains the heat for too long.

Prayed on it. Told my Mom to tell her friends.... That about covers it.

This campfire does not put out barely any heat, I have an issue with the connector starting on fire next to the hose. It STINKS like burning gas….It’s super expensive and we never use it because it’s pretty much useless. Idk if all the reviewers are getting paid, but nobody should buy this thing.

Nope not a sponsored review. Made this video becuase its a favorite piece of gear and still is after several years. I bought mine used for $50 off craigslist and Ive had pretty much the opposite experience as you. Sorry to hear its not been great for you though. Call the manufacturer, maybe they can help. Sounds like you got a defective regulator or fitting seal. Maybe they can help.
