This guy always strikes me as the nicest guy around. A down to earth mystic.

Even I have to wonder how on earth he came up with that song! The words, the melody, the bass. “Reminiscing” is the greatest cocktail song of all time. It flows smooth like scotch or the libation of your choice. It’s calm, deliberate, slow, soothing, melodic, it has a sound that no other song I can think of has. You can name that tune in just 2 or 3 notes. It’s the greatest song of its type whatever that “type” may be in your opinion but it’s the kind of tune that’s always welcome whenever it comes on the radio. The kind of song I always want to hear. Good job LRB!

It is a perfect song. Graeham is so modest he didn't even mention his vocal harmony contribution to the song. Thank you for posting.

The early edition of LRB is by far the best IMHO. If only egos and personalities had not entered into the mix, we would have a much larger catalog of music, and a much more renowned band. However, the great American football quarterback, “Dandy” Don Meredith said it best , “If its and buts were candy and nuts, what a merry Christmas we’d all have.”

I know yOur an ej fan, and I like how he is nicely displayed behind you, however, little Jeanie? I thought there were others you could have replaced that with…”blue eyes” sad songs, and dare I say it, I guess that’s why they call it the blues? Don’t get me wrong , I’m a major ej fan and know all his music like the back of my hand, but diehards have longed to see “little Jeanie “ in his setlist again and were disappointed he didn’t include it in his 1 night only cd, was a great performance at msg. Little Jeanie , one of his few songs to include a nice brass arrangement, not since caribou with don’t let the sun, as well as the first song and honky cat has we heard such prominent brass. And then at the end so much going on brass wise, great backing vocals him singing “I’m so in love I’m soooooooooooooooo in love “ over the melody of “you stepped into my life from a bad dream….” It’s an underrated song that was among his biggest hits of the 80s stayed on the u.s. charts a long time #3 for at least 3 weeks in the top 10 a very long time. It’s fair to compare 80s ej to 70s Ej, but if being critical, I would have chosen differently. Empty garden is another song which like little Jeanie has a great fade-out with beautiful harmonies , o o o owo underneath a layer of Johnny, can’t you come out to play in your empty garden.” But I do like your videos…don’t be mad…ha, my handle is 2133, yes a reference to the little Jeanie record, but I needed something I could remember after bruceski to set me apart from other bruceskis lest you think I rate 21@33 as my favorite or something, it is not.
