Scissor Sisters biggest influence was the Beegees, I don't get how you think they sound alike at all. If anything, this sounds like Emotional Rescue by The Rolling Stones or some obscure Jesse Johnson song. It's very original in my opinion.

Same key and a semi (not really all that close) similar theme. I find it to be pure coincidence. If anything this sounds more like Prince than the Stones. If you don't like this track then check out some of her others like Dance Dark. If you don't like her as an artist that's fine but don't dismiss this as "bad hipster music" people like different kinds of music.
