This is by leaps and bounds the most accurate rendition of little wing on the internet. I have no doubt pilky could have improvised more, let loose more, maybe played with more feeling if he wanted to. But this was not a guitarist doing his version of little wing - this was a guitarist studying and performing little wing like Horowitz studied and performed Rachmaninoff. Every nuance of Jimi’s playing is recreated down to muted notes, grace notes, extra strings strummed, direction of picking… there is so much attention to the smallest of details. Kudos to pilky - the millions of views are well deserved.

Beautiful playing. You do your index finger vibrato just like Clapton plays (without anchoring your thumb on the Solo, so all that's touching the fretboard is the tip of your index finger when doing vibrato without a bend) without sounding complicated, I don't even think Hendrix himself did that but Clapton certainly does. This is the closest to the original Hendrix track on Axis Bold As Love I have seen and heard. I know Jimi Hendrix played it a bit differently each gig - thinking about any of the live versions, especially Hendrix In The West - but the album track is the gold standard. If you can play it like this, you’ve put many, many hours into it. Every lick is a treasure and he never meant it to be a long, epic piece. Just a beautiful 2 1/2 minute piece of artistry.
