A person that does levels where you jump between hamburgers isn't the right one to review a game like LBP. Maybe someone who has experience with the previous games and can really see the potential the new tools offer. A game like LBP can only be reviewed after a lot of time playing it and really stretching the game's possibilities. People that don't like open world games won't like games like Red Dead Redemption; likewise, people that aren't much into game designing won't appreciate everything LBP 3 has to offer. If the Advanced Warfare review focused on the multiplayer and got a 9.1, then this guys should focus on the level creation, because that's where the game really shines. I have LBP 3, and if you liked the previous ones and like making games, then it's a must buy.

TheUmbrellaCorpX7 I had a major glitch where the game closed and the level I was making was errased, so I get where they're angry at the glitches, but it's not a game breaker. Yesterday I had hours and hours to try to learn how the create mode works, and believe me when I say it's very VERY hard, but I'm so amazed at the possibilities that I can't wait to play more and learn more. Also, those tutorials really help, so I recommend you guys to try them out. In conclusion, I hope they fix some of the glitches, because other than that this is THE LBP game we've all been waiting for.

She praised the game throughout the majority of the review, but gave the game a 6.8... an okay, this is why I hate review scores, they can taint a perfectly good review, however I still don't know why she thought an okay rating was appropriate after she praised the game for so long with very few gripes. The way she spoke about it I was expecting an 8 - 8.5 and I realize it's not the score that matters, but when you work for a website that works on a scoring system, maybe be more careful with how you utilize it.

I have never played LGP before (I am an Xbox User) but the score is just a piece of shit. Complaining about bugs? It will get fixed later on. Just look at Halo: MCC (Multiplayer Glitches) AC: Unity (NPC and Frame Rate Glitches) and COD: Advanced Warfare (Multiplayer Glitches) Driveclub (Digital downloading was crap) and those games had bugs like in LGP 3 but all of those bugs were FIXED LATER ON. This is a game that I know will be fun, and if I got a PS4 I would pick this up no questions asked. But 6.8? Motherfucking seriously? Just at least give it a 7-9 dammit.

I too haven't played the game but I would make the counter-argument that when reviewing a game, one has to review what they are given - and what was given on release was obviously a very buggy experience. Thus, I think it's perfectly justified to criticise a product that is marketed as finished when it just isn't. Just my thoughts anyway.

I completely disagree that reviewers should not lower the score because of bugs and glitches. We should let publishers know that releasing a non-finished product is completely unacceptable. If reviewers gave games good scores despite a ton of bugs, then it would send the wrong message to the publishers, meaning that they could release a game in a shitty state and get away with it. It's also very anti-consumer to disregard bugs and glitches, no matter how severe they are. Games are reviewed in the state that they're being released in, which is the right way to go.

I cant ignore the fact that LBP 3 includes this bugs and glitches where you wont respawn after defeat or loading screens last forever, without even played the game, but watched exactly those issues in livestreams. Let alone the fact that all of this is fixable, this is no reason to give the overall game a damn 6.8, does not match to the rest of the review, all those positive stuff. If you think, you just played some awesome community created content, the next great stuff is right around the corner. The story mode is only the start. Its showcasing anything from the developer what everyone can build. Thats the impressive part of LBP. Based on the entire review and her impression... LBP 3 deserves a 8/10 at least!

jak2492 Its not boring she even said in the review that its far from boring & had a lot of fun with it. She gave it a 6.8 purely because of the bugs. Its just another unfair score from IGN because COD Advanced Warfare got a 9 but had tons of complaints about being booted from online matches, unplayable lag at times, crashes & glitches with prestiging, etc. Battlefield even got an 8.5 & had lag that would make you feel like a grizzly bear is pulling you back as you play the game. They've only recently released a patch where they can finally give everyone a smooth online experience, a year later. They should have gave LBP3 9/10 just like they did with LBP2 & LBP1.

My Wii U has been under consistent use since June, thanks to Mario Kart 8. That opened the window for me to try new games like 3D World, DK Tropical Freeze, and then Hyrule Warriors and Bayonetta 2. All exceptional games. Games on PS4 and XB1 feel unpolished, and rushed, with a few exceptions. I hope with all these delays, the upcoming games will have a much higher quality

6.8 is a bit of a underrated score for this game...I've been playing this game since friday I got it on an early release I suppose and yes I've noticed a few bugs and frame rate drops but honestly it did not ruin the experience for me one bit because this game was packed with some amazing content and the rewarding experience of collecting a vast amount of unlockables throughout the adventure mode was simply amazing! The game shines where I would expect it to shine which is in the creative mode where there are tons upon tons of options and configurations as well as a great logic system which can be pretty neat when you know how to use it! Anyway overall the game is really well put together and I can see sometime in the near future we will get some patches for of the glitches in the game! Don't go by IGN for this one try it for yourself if you're into adventure/platformer type games!

See here is why this review is flawed. She mentioned that even though she had the "Day Zero" patch, the game was overly buggy and it hindered its score. HOWEVER, she did not take into account the patch that comes out after the game is literally released. LPB3 has 2 updates, the latter which corrects bugs. I know this because I'm playing it now. It's the so called "Day One patch". Clearly she didn't take that into account with this review which makes it irrelevant. Also for AC:Unity to get a higher score with its plethora of bugs, I call BS.

Can we get a new 3D Platformer instead? I lost interest in Little Big Planet after the first game. There really is no story and the only incentive to play through the passive levels is if you're keen on collecting every sticker and bauble to further your experience in Creative mode. But if you have no interest in creating levels then I honestly find there's not much to these games. The levels never felt engaging or as inspired as what Nintendo can crank out. The levels work... but most of them I wouldn't want to play through more than once. Whereas a game like Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze I'd want to keep playing for years due to how inspired and engagingly challenging each level is. I'm just checked out on this series. It's great it has an active community... but the more players who succumb to burn out on this series like I have, the less players there will be around to experience these levels people work so hard to make. I'd rather see Sony bring back 3D platformers. I want memorable, fun characters with vast, beautiful open worlds to explore. I want fun jumping and gameplay mechanics. Given how far technology has progressed these days, I'm sure Sony could bring a 3D platformer that could knock the size, look and scope of the original Jak and Daxter right out of the water.

LBG3 is the only game with couch co-op these days. Which is a real shame. Devs should bring it back. And people should stop complaining about the suposed decline of the PS4. Xone also has shitty launches from the games. And also PC is going through a rough month. It is hard to make a good game for new software. And we as customers are expecting good quality games. But we also want the games to come out as soon as possible. So that gives devs a problem. I was hoping that the mew consoles would change the industry, that devs could take their time and we as customers wont act like spoiled children.

I played 4 hours of CO-OP play with my sister the other night and the only reason we turned the console off was because we was tired. This is one of the most fun local multiplayer games I've played in a long time since the days of Micro Machines etc. The only glitch I came across was that even though I was player 1 sometimes the camera would focus on player 2 more, also when finishing a level when we come back out the portal sometimes there was a delay of about 5-10s, but it was nothing irritating.

I got this game yesterday and oh man IGN is so wrong. First off the story has quest and side missions, you didn't say shit about that. Secondly, the bugs are only on online! the reason it's so glitchy is cuz Far Cry 4 and GTA 5 are taking up the servers, not to mention that these "bugs" can be fixed in an update. Finally, sack boy is the MAIN CHARACTER, so you'll be playing as him most of the time! This game is a solid 9.8 for me.

To the people who come to every IGN review and complain about the stupidest things or how one review score for a game was BS compared to another review score for another game, listen to this: It's not 1 reviewer who reviews all these games! It's dozens of people with different opinions that work for the company, if you watch other IGN videos about the game you'll see that different people who work for IGN have different opinons and don't always agree with the score that "IGN" gave it. If you don't like the review score, then complain about the reviewer, not the whole company (even though complaining about a review score when you haven't played it or if it differs from your opinion is pathetic anyway).

You are wright about one thing: a single reviewer doesn't review all games. But a single editor approves all the reviews. If there are multiple editors, all of them collectively approves a review before it goes online. For the sake of being neutral, the IGN editor/editors involved with game reviews could have asked this reviever to not highlight the glitches in LBP3 as they will be resolved by a day one patch, and also because they gave Halo MCC a free pass despite all its game breaking bugs which are not yet fixed, but they didn't. So tell me why shouldn't we blame the entire company.

An issue I have with this review is that she hardly mentions user generated content which is probably the best part of the LBP series. Although there may not be that many good levels at the moment people will probably create very good levels which would make this game great.

People, if you don't like the score and thinks it's unfair, than that's fine. It isn't your fault, it's IGN's. They're kind of unprofessional reviewers, giving overhyped games a 9-10, while the underhyped ones (even though they might deserve a better score) gets a really bad score. Allthough this game didn't. I don't think LittleBigPlanet 3 is a bad game, actually it's a great game. I've had my fair share of glitches and bugs on the game (corrupt files, level fails to load, trophies not being given, etc), but it's still fun. Also if you are having problems going online on LittleBigPlanet with friends try having you and your friend's pod and character be without stickers and it should be fine, at least and my experience.
