They are completely clueless sheep. K-Pop dancers moves are rooted in J-Pop culture, specially the kawaii/moe type of dancing, which they fused with american "sexy pop dance moves". Everyone knows K-pop is heavily influenced by a mix of J-Pop and American/Brittish Pop, hence why they make dozens of mostly american song covers, specially the older ones. Hell, everything in Korea is heavily influenced by Japanese culture, same goes for China and most of the East and SE Asia. A good example would be "vtubers" which are content creators/streamers who use a Vocaloid-like avatar (3D virtual anime style character), which the japanese created and popularized, and now chinese, indonesian, filipino, etc, are coming up with them as well, and there is even a production group doing castings for those countries. South Korea barely has anything other than the food and ancient culture of their own. Not a Korean hater btw, i'm just interested in asian culture, mostly Japan Korea and China.

Falcon Windblade well, to be fair, its always been that way. a bit dry and overdone. one beat sells well, so you got a solid decade of everyone copying that one sound and do some variations, voila, you got a entire generation of pop music. sometimes man generations (see the Rhianna / Beyonce style pop music..been the same stuff since the early 90s). Not a bad thing, just a fully saturated thing, so when a new type of sound comes, it is confusing to many...but it catches on eventually. Babymetal may be pushing a new beat (That eventually will become a major genre and rehashed a thousand times)..or this may be a unique one off band...either way, they rock.

The blissful ignorance and moronic attitudes of some people makes me what to put my fist through my laptop screen sometimes. The inability to recognize anything but 'Justin Bieber' and 'Taylor Swift' types as artists (and I use that term liberally) is absolutely astounding. Bands like Babymetal are at the precipice of what new music is all about these days; fusing genres. Perhaps I shouldn't be surprised, but it just feels incredibly aggravating and honestly disappointing to see this is what we have to look forward to in America's youth: bigotry and a lack of imagination. BM is not a typical idol group (or typical metal group for that matter) as I'm sure you're aware, so still is for a niche market, rather than for a well established market that exist for the 48's and 46's type of idols. BM is having a huge impact in Japan (and overseas), not as others household groups level, but still an important one. Its popularity is on a healthy growth trend but it will take some years until it is a worldwide recognised name.

I’m not too huge a fan of Babymetal but the girls reacting just were being way too close minded. Yes, people pay to see them in concert. People probably would say the same about the artists those girls listen to as well. Like really? Also, BABYMETAL acutally said in "BABYMETAL reacts to KZbinrs React to BABYMETAL" (under the react channel) that they actually didn’t start listening and even liking metal until after the band was formed - in fact they themselves didn’t like it but grew fond of it later. Also, when you are pronouncing the word “kawaii”, you need to emphasize the second “i” in the word, otherwise it becomes the word “kowai” which means scary.

Went to there concert in Atlanta Tennessee with my best friend. We're 20 and it was awesome. The fans were jumping so much that the building was shacking. Youngest person there was probably 4 and the oldest was 60 or older.

Saw BabyMetal at Heavy Montreal in 2014. They were really good. Fun to rock out and try to echo back to them when they pointed the mic at the audience. We had no idea what to say and had a great time anyway.
