I love the book "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", So this game has me excited.

The problem with most of your battles is that your army is too spread out. They don't get the morale buff under the sphere of influence the generals have. 树倒猢狲散 When a tree falls, the monkeys scatter. When a leader loses power, his followers are disorganized Keep them together, I usually do a hexagon shaped formation to keep the flank slightly secure while the archers fire with impunity . So spears in the front with shields to hold the line, swords to the rear for support, and calvary to either side for flanking maneuvers or countering other calvary.

I tend to split them into three groups, one general with the cavalry, another with the melee and hopefully a strategist with the ranged units.

Hey NG. Taking my own caocao campaign to turn 80. Strating to feel there are many things,still missing in the game. Famous general who,doesnt really matter(no matter their personilty or skill tree. Cause there are almost no difference other then general type).not many,troops type(special nuit are.more or less same and mid or high rank troops) and story taking almost no effect in game(really no effect.general with no history and realtionship doesnt seems matter.eigther) what do you think?

I think most of this was to be expected, there was never going to be many unit types, I felt the same with Shogun but it was still good. I would assume that with certain tribes missing, nanman and south eastern tribes etc we will probably see more variety as they are added. Elephants etc.Plus storywise its a sandbox so the story I wouldnt want to effet it too much. So I agree I want more variety and everything but they showed all this stuff off before hand so I expected it to be similiar to shogun 2.

@@NGParadox lets hope they add more dlc to it. At different timeline to showcasing the important event like battle of guandu. battle of chibi,zhugeliang seven assult on wei and sima house overtake wei and becoming emporer. Thats should be fun.

now Annex Dong Zhou, so you can get Lu Bu and Zhang Liao also Mr.Dong himself, but make sure you give them high rank otherwise they will leave you

You need to use archers better. Also spears can fight swords alright. Don't have to move all spears to one side. You weren't able to hold their melee units.

Yea dont worry, I know how to fight, just messed this one up completely, actually one of the only fights Ive lost that I didnt autoresolve in like over 30 hours of playing.

Just roleplay really, trying to have friends as Liu Bei haha but everyone hates me. Dont want to attack him with no reason, especially as we have plenty of others to fight.
