I was not able to comment on last week's video but was happy to learn your family name. I'm now 73, but during my teen age, high school years, the basketball coach all those years at Carroll High in Ozark Alabama, was Cecil Skinner and he was great coach. He won Best Coach one year in Alabama. He was a shorter, guard type in his playing years though. After your revelation, wondered if he was kin. LOL.

Consider the two different occupancies you have created. The Bedroom/sleeping area and the Shop/Flammable /storage area. They may need to be separated by one hour rated self closing door door and fire rated drywall (one hour 5/8 Type X). Type X gypsum wallboard, 5/8" in thickness ("5/8" type X wallboard"), is manufactured for use as one component of an assembly/system (such as a wall) where a fire resistance rating is required in a residential, commercial, or other structure by an applicable building code.

When I bought this property I cut trails too. Built a cabin. Unless you are there every Day the expense and the time spent gets really expensive. All it takes is one storm to block the trail and a Fun Family thing is now just another pain in the ass on top of everything else. Nature can undo all your efforts in one season or an instant!

You could use sawdust and glue to make a paste to fill the nail holes that would be sandable and then paint over it.
@damogranheart55217 ай бұрын
My stars! That accent wall is the bee's knees! I had a thought. For the display rail, cut out squares or rectangle in different sizes to see what size and how many pictures will fit without looking cluttered. I was thinking of pictures of the ranch, deer, trees, wild flowers, a group picture of your family, that kind of thing. I recommend the same size, material, and color for the frames. A rustic frame might be just the ticket! I am looking forward to the tin ceiling, also. All in all, it was a fabulous visit! All the scenery, the visit to Arizona, the view of the temple, the wedding reception, bowling with your son, and working on the bedroom and bathroom. WOW!! Thank you so much! What a great way to start my week!

The wainscoting looks great and tell cedar is the perfect hight as it’s the traditional way to do it, oftentimes it’s even shorter. I think EVERYONE would agree with you that caulking is probably the worst job, only behind painting the trim work, such as baseboards, door/window jams and the doors. Even if you spray them the masking and plastic pre work sucks! I spent two days prepping my house to spray the trim work, and another day spraying and cleaning up and swear I’ll never do it again. The bedroom looks great and the wedding looked like it was really nice. Can always tell an LDS temple a mile away. Bet you can’t wait fir the summer to come as it’s beautiful up there!

The room is looking *REAL GOOD* You have an advantage over the rest of us in that you can work on the ceiling without having to use a ladder / box / bucket to stand on. The buck is starting to trust you so it won't be long before the doe also start and newborns will quickly do the same. One question : Where does the name "Red Poppy Ranch" come from? Anyway, You keep on keeping on and we will keep on watching - thanks.
