I got this to work too. I did have one issue where it was so bright Quest 2 put up an error message and I HAve to click it and go back in app..... Also heat was an issue. A simpler way of doing this might be the Litchi App and cheap VR Phone headset.

You have to download the AirScreen app, which is not in on the Meta Quest device. Remember the goal is to mirror the app from your phone. In addition, the DJI fly app is not available on the Meta Quest store.

can you see it on full screen and ...can you control all the on screen functions with the oculus? I mean... without having to touch the phone screen directly

You can expand/modify the screen in oculus. Oculus is only used as fpv and drone controller controls all drone functions, not oculus controllers.

I know very little about FPV ....Several months ago i had the opportunity to watch FPV through Skyzone Cobra X v2 ( Box goggles ) and I was not impressed . The picture quality was very good but it was like watching a TV from across a dark room ,not very immersive . Is the immersive quality of regular goggles say like FatShark , Skyzone or HDZero any way close to Quest 2 VR headset ... My grandson showed me his Quest 2 VR headset and I was extremely impressed. If what I were to see from a quality FPV goggles an immersive experience as Quest 2 I would venture into FPV ...... your thought please .

Thanks for watching! I can say the Quest 2 is just the tip of the iceberg if you would like to fly fpv with your drone. I do have the DJI V2 Goggles. It’s my 1st fpv set of goggles and I am very satisfied. I would start there if you would like to venture into fpv. Being that I specialize in cinematic drones, I am unable to recommend any other set of fpv goggles. Hope this helps!

There DJI fly app is not available in the Meta Quest store. You must use the AirScreen app to mirror the content on your phone. Hope this helps!

awesome tutorial, but let me fill in some blanks here. 1.If you are using Android, Mac, or Linux, you will not have to do this. However, if you are using a Windows PC, you cannot skip this step when setting up your SideQuest. 2. You need to use the proprietary casting function on your phone..I thought AirScreen had that built so took me ages to figure it out, but Im not that tech savvy anymore.

@@TechOps85 Hi, I finally managed to try to connect my mini 2 to the oculus via android. I followed all the steps, but when I try to mirror the phone, the oculus is not found, even if they are both connected to the same wifi network. However, if I try to connect from the mobile phone via browser to the ip address that comes out on airscreen, the smartphone sees it and opens a tutorial on how to transmit, but then it is not found during the search Do you have any suggestions?

So your drone and quest 2 are connected to eachother... So the drone cannot fly far away then ? Like 900m range or something

You will be able to see whatever the drone sees. Whatever the limits the drone can achieve;as long as the video is transmitting from the phone, the oculus will see it. Remember the oculus will mirror whatever the drone sees, which is connected to the drone. Hope this helps!

Does your KZbin app not have the closed captioning option? Worked great on my Galaxy Android device .... Although the music was slightly above ideal, I also could clearly hear every single word too! CC would basically be a bonus & an extra tap of effort. 🤔
